I am against the monarchy and would ideally prefer a republic BUT I respect and like the queen immensely. She has been a rock to her family and a fantastic example of all the good things you would expect from a head of state. If we do have a republic, I would vote for her to be our president. Americans in general tend to be a bit more "touchy feely" than Brits. We hug, shake, etc.. A person can shake hands or hug the highest political power (the President) and nobody would even bat an eyelash. Most people in America honestly see absolutely nothing wrong with this story and move on

Don't be jealous you all. There are things we all get to do things that others don't get to do. We should just be happy for First Lady Michelle Obama. I am. I know a lady personally that got to meet the Queen and somebody shot a picture of her and her Husband with Queen Elizabeth II from far away and gave her a copy and I got to see it. Well if you look at this from a Knightly point of view, it would seem offensive indeed.
It is a matter of honor to respect royal protocols and act Lawful when it comes to Order and Justice.
Now if you look at this from the 2nd mellenium realistic human point of view,
you would agree that the first Black Lady and a Queen of England, sharing a hug,
makes an enormous progress all over the globe, as it has an emotion and meaning for unity that we are all just humans, improoving our relationships.

This is a joke! Does somebody even care so much as to who is hugging the queen. Besides what does the queen actually do besides wave and sign bills and other pieces of legislation..... She doesn't really have any actual role in anything but serves as a symbol for the UK.

@entrepreneur41 Yeah a LOAN. I think the UK finished paying those classy Americans back in about 2005. I guess the RAFs defeat of the Luftwaffe, The Desert rats defeat of the Afrika Korps and Royal Navies defeat of the Kreigs marine didn't come cheap! Now maybe YOU should fuck off and study the history and thank the Brits, soviets and commonwealth forces that did most of the fighting.

@entrepreneur41 Well if it wasn't for the Russians we would of lost the war.Your right on what you said about the money being given by Americans.But the real outcome of the war was the fact the Russians was battering the German forces.The Germans was losing too many men on the eastern front.The Russians was first in Berlin before anyone else.Hitler by declaring war on Russia was one of the biggest Military blunders in history
