Great tune - fits your username and nice editing. That bike looks like a blast to ride. Can't find any DR650s second hand in South Africa that are not a total ripoff : (
Bike looks fucking great, easily the best looking DR i have ever seen! I have got a 2010 DR which i want to motard, I was wondering where you got the 17" spokies and what sort of money you had to fork over, if you don't mind me asking? From the looks of your vid you are in Brissy? Great Vid too, love your work.
spoked wheels came with the bike, but some usa mob sell them for around US$1100 without discs, just google 'dr650se supermoto wheels' or something like that. sold them and got a set of cast alloy wheels with cush drive hub from the Cast Motard guys in Brissy.
i owned the 1992 dr 650,had rgv wheels, cut slicks and a 50 bhp wizards of nitrous kit.i loved forcing superbikes out of my lines on roundabouts!by the way,the bike looks awesome, good job.
Handles beautifully. You just lean and the bike turns naturally. Once you've ridden these for a while you put the 21 inch back on and it feels like you have to force it around corners. Except for ultra fast experienced riders anyone will go through corners better on a motard than a sport bike i reckon.

Nice video. How does the motard handling compare to the stock front wheel? Is it twitchy? Does it take more or less effort?
