  • When I want some cereal I WANT SOME CEREAL!

  • Hey, you forgot some milk in the measuring cup.

  • are you engaged?

  • How Much Do I Put With 2% Milk

  • @LoRiiKiiNZz The label says it all! You don't have to do any research, it's all on the label how much is in a serving size. And it's up to you to keep track of the numbers- some people like a lot or a little milk.

  • 175 calories for breakfast isn't enough

  • @SplendiferouslySteph Don't worry, I agree with you. TearsNoMore can be kind of bossy. With good reason, I guess, but you didn't do anything wrong. I can comment whatever I want, see?

  • You guys dont understand that she is being helpful here, you ask for advice etc.

well guess what, this kind of mind set and self control is what is going to get you

to lose the weight, it cant magically come off,!! Portion control is the most importantthing to lose weight, what will be the point of excersising and eating healthy ifyou are over eating on healthy food? Small meals people throughout

the day people, that is the key...

  • this was an eye opener

  • when i diet i have like 2 bowls with skim milk lolol then i just wait until dinner.... i lost weight pretty quick.

im not so cautious about breakfast quantity since it my first meal and the one thing ill be eating until dinner.

  • lmao. i just looked at that breakfast and thought, would you like some more cereal for that milk? ha it was like a lot a milk and no cereal.

  • I think it's a bit wrong telling people how they HAVE to pour out their cereal and what they HAVE to do. As long as they don't go OVERRRRRRR the top, then people can eat how they like, no?

Life is too short to be obsessively counting each little morsel of food. It's obsessive compulsive, in my opinion anyway.

  • @SplendiferouslySteph No one cares about YOUR opinion. This is MY channel.

  • @TearsNoMore87 If you don't care about people's opinions, then disable your comment feature. =/

Oh, or is it only positive comments you want to hear? You don't need to respond to criticism with such a rude attitude.

  • @TearsNoMore87 just because you dont care doesnt mean no one cares. maybe if you ate more your wouldnt be such a cunt.

  • @SplendiferouslySteph life is too short to die from obesity.

  • @july234me Oh. So every person who pours out a teaspoon more cereal then what is allowed will die from obesity? Great logic there einstein.

  • @SplendiferouslySteph Wow- you're truly an idiot. Just quit. You're making yourself look VERY bad. Haha

  • @SplendiferouslySteph i doubt people just over pour with one teaspoon. all im saying is that if you are trying to loose weight, and you dont measure your food you could eat a lot more than what you think leading you to gain weight. you could easily over pour cereal at breakfast, and over eat at lunch and dinner then end up eating like 3000 calories. thats all. im done talking to you. bye.

  • @SplendiferouslySteph Ummm no. We are people trying to lose weight & be healthy. And actually actually you've measured out something for a month or so you can just eyeball a serving. Life is too short NOT to be counting every morsel of food! Not paying attention is how us people with food "problems" die! Get with the program!

  • @SplendiferouslySteph when your overweight and trying to live healthy yes yes you do. most people have had heart attacks, strokes, diabetes because they lived in the moment. sometimes people have to be like this to get somewhere, its a goal, she's just giving advice you just take it or not. period. damn.

  • u engaged girl? Yay!!

  • I discovered the brutal truth of the small amount of cereal which constitutes a portion recently - I too just used to pour it into a bowl until it looked pretty much full. It's a real eye opener! I like to have natural yogurt with my cereal as I'm not too keen on milk, and it makes me feel much fuller too.

  • Wow, there must be something really wrong with me. There's a gorgeous chick giving dieting advice and all I can think is, "How the hell can someone so young afford a kitchen like that? I'm lucky I have a gas stove." I am so pathetic.

  • lol, I love it, if you're not pissed off when you're dieting you're doing something wrong. THIS IS SO TRUE!!!! lol. I HATE diets, but I love this video, GREAT points!

  • I'm back to watching YouTube Vids again & love that your showing this.... People always ask well what do you eat on your Vids now you can show them & yes omg what a shock her portions look small ???? Really?????

They are not small we are just used to triple servings. This is the way to do it & it is enough. Personally I add a small apple cut up in there or eat 2hours later. Coffee with Stevia & sugar free coffee mate cream 2tbs only. I'm also having lean cuisines to help count each calorie.

  • Are You Goin to do Lunch then Dinner Next , that would be very nice & helpful .

  • After doing it (measuring your food) it doesn't effect me as much and the results are worth it :)

  • 175 calories for breakfast? are you eating a snack a few hours later cuz a NUTRITIOUS breakfast, I THINK, would have at least 300, with at least some fruit or something.

  • @1feistydst Have ONE glass of juice and BAM you're at 400 calories. This video is about cereal and serving size.

  • @TearsNoMore87 oh ok cuz the title does say "BREAKFAST." Not trying to be a smart ass, but I'm just saying :0), But when trying to lose weight I'm sure you probably wouldn't want to drink the few calories you allow yourself anyway

  • @1feistydst EXACTLY.

  • oo nice kitchen

  • You're engaged!

  • oh god. I saw your channel and subscribed...I'm 130 and 4'9 and im going to college this summer and my goal weight is 100 by the start of college and eventually 80-85. I'm a MASSIVE pig. Like, i can eat for my small size--and 10 minutes later im hungry all over again. This is going to be sooo freaking hard. I'm starting to get stretch marks on my arms too so thats a wakeup call..my thighs are covered in them so its too late for that but i must save my arms!!

  • I use a food scale! its more accurate. But it doesnt make like a million calorie difference!

  • damn. lol. mad small!

    ...new house, btw?

  • i did this the other day and actually it wasn't too bad i felt full so that was nice and it helped me realize that I'd been over eating in the morning for breakfast because i would feel like i would have to finish my food

  • THIS is why I've just stopped eating cereal altogether. lol. I don't feel as bad because I switched it out for my Reese's peanut butter cup oatmeal and it's healthy and tastes THE BOMB! ;) lol. xx

  • This is why dieting sucks so bad. That little bit of cereal is discouragin to look at. Lol. But I guess those are the brakes when it comes to losing weight.

  • Well done! I do that every morning, and with regular Special K. The only difference is I use 2% milk with mine.

  • Don't want to burst your bubble but you are measuring with a liquid measuring cup. That cup is ONLY meant to measure liquid. If you want to measure food then you need to use a measuring cup that is meant for food. The measuremeants are NOT the same at all. I am a culinary student and I had to learn these things.

  • Can you imagine how much sugar Jethro was eating? LOL I tried the low carb cereal because I have to watch my sugar. OMG the worst!! Tastes like cardboard!!! Even the ones with the freeze dried strawberries didn't help the taste! >:-P

  • Wow, also great phone camera!!

  • Oh my gosh!! Are you engaged?? If so congrats!! :)

  • So, I usually fill the bowl up to the rim with cereal LoL. I tried it the right way this morning and it actually wasn't so bad. I was...satisfied, so yeah cool. :)

  • are you engaged?

  • i see that ring girl, i;m assuming you got engaged - if so, congrats! :-)

  • hey please do the same thing for lunch and dinner too.......thank u

  • @chaitu2010 why should she have to? isn't it common sense to measure your food to get the proper serving sizes?

  • @ArielDarkBlade69 I dont have. Let her do. U dont have to do. Thanks

  • @chaitu2010 I'm guessing you don't know how to string together enough words to finish a sentence?

  • @ArielDarkBlade69 Its true. I am not good at English. It's not my mother tongue. can we be frnds? Execuse if I made some mistakes in sentence framing.

  • .... my bad that last sentence was a question.

  • LOL I add a few cubes of ice to make the milk colder, plus give the "illusion" that there is more in the bowl..... So if I don't drink the milk when I'm done eating the cereal should I cut half the calories from the milk.

  • Special K = SUGAR!

  • @meeee221 It doesn't matter if it has sugar if you portion control, and measure out like Tears did in the video.

  • @araya1 it doesn't matter if you measure or not...sugar is bad for you no matter how little you eat. What isn't already sugar (the cereal) turns into sugar as soon as your body begins to process it.

  • have you heard of the hcg diet? would you recommend that?

  • great reminder!! :) I'd go ahead and throw in a few strawberry slices ..yum :)

  • for every meal, i used smaller plates! great advice

  • I always measure out my cereal... I practically measure everything. I even weigh broccoli with a food scale.

    Its good seeing you!

  • I like to use smaller bowls and plates, too.

  • awesome advice & this is random but that's a nice kitchen

  • Good tip! I started measuring out my cereal a couple years back, I just need to discipline myself to weigh other foods as well.

  • Looking at that little bit of cereal in that bowl, just pissed me off lol,

  • @LovinMeReally YES! It pisses me off too! Good. If you're not pissed off when you're dieting- you must be doing SOMETHING wrong. Haha.

  • Make sure you use a dry measuring cup to measure out dry food/ingredients and use a liquid measuring cup to measure out liquid foods/ingredients. There is a difference.

  • chica are you enaged?!?!?! I see that ring! if so congrats!!!

  • I usually do what was shown in the first example, though I don't use alot of milk. I actually have a reduced fat 2% milk, then I just take a small bowl an fill it.

I feel bad knowing that I probably had 200+ calories since I didn't measure... but thanks for this video (:

  • what is your daily calorie range at this moment?

  • Thats more than enough. I started doing this when I started weight watchers a few months ago. You have to pay attention to those serving sizings. THIS was a very informative vid...pls do more of these. :)

  • this was good you should do more videos like this also on healthy meals you make and eat.

  • good

  • Your absolutely right!!

  • Brilliant. This concept should definitely be used for all meals. Measure your serving sizes to make sure you're eating proper amounts of food!
