All "flats" i'm sorry are Not shaved up the back and sides.I have been getting one every June(for summer) for many;many years;and there are many different syles of the "flat".Mine is the "Chicago"(about 1/2ins.on top close sides/back--but longer above the ears);so you can comb the hair back.Thanks
