  • For me, this is the single most moving commercial ever made. It is highly respectful, somber, and heartbreaking......yet it is hopeful some how. A beautifully conceived and executed spot.

  • I wish the guys driving the wagon would of been seen taking off their caps in unison with the Clydsdale's bowing.

  • There are millions of ways to look at this comercial. The BEST way to look at this is with respect for its initial cause and AMERICA

  • It saddens me to see a tribute/rememberance commerical for those who perished on 9/11/2011. It saddens me even more that Anheuser Busch is now owned by a Brazilian Belgian Brewing Conglammerate. BOYCOTT BUDWEISER!!

  • i kinda find it offensive. shame that budweiser is trying to cash in on beer profits using what seems to be a pretty rushed tribute commercial. im sorry, i just didnt like this type of marketing.

  • @nelandquinten beer was not used once or shown in this ad. How did they take advantage of anything for profit? troll!

  • Superbowl XXXVI was played on February 3, 2002, rather than in January.

  • I have watched this tribute numerous times. It never fails to give me chills and fill my eyes with tears. Well done!

  • for those of u with nothing nice to say, SIGN OFF! someone has to ruin an beautiful tribute like that! You people with the negative comments or turn it into another platform need to get some help! If u have some other issues with something completely off this amazing tribute, then sign off, get off your couch, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! BUT DON'T DISRESPECT A LOVING TRIBUTE TO THE LIVES THAT WERE LOST. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves! the surviving families will see this! shame on all of you

  • i have to say what an AMAZING TRIBUTE!!! it was elegant, graceful, respectful, but simple! But at the same time sends the biggest message, THANK YOU, WE WILL NEVER FORGET! This will be my favorite commercial ever, in my lifetime! There is something about those magnificent horses bowing in respect! i honestly cry each and every time i watch it! Thank You for that amazing tribute! Nothing could be any better! GOD BLESS THE USA

  • all i can say is wow... every time i see this, it brings tears to my eyes... to see those beautiful animals go out to a good view of new york and watching them bow in respect to the twin towers just makes not only me, but my math teacher cry :*(

  • it is amazing the intelligence of these fine animals, to bad the other end of this animal resides in the White House

  • oh wow

  • Great tribute!

  • GORGEOUS ad, RIP 9/11

  • Who ever knew a beer commercial could make you cry.

    Beautiful..........

  • Always Remember 9/11/01 ...

  • How can you dislike this ?

  • WOW

  • Born and raised in NY. Now living in DC. Going to Giants-Redskins today and am looking forward to celebrating my freedom with thousands of Americans. I sent an invite to bin Laden months ago but, rude prick that he is, he still hasn't gotten back to me.

  • God bless

  • i gonna cwy. so touching ;(

  • I remember watching on tv the horror that was happening. This tribute was such an honor to the people who died that day and to the people that rushed in to save them. If you can't see the respect in this you have no heart and should be ashamed of your self. Your parents missed something raising you.

  • Horses do not care. They have been trained to do this.

  • @SomeCuntsUsingMyName You really are a dick! But, that's why I like your comment! LOL!!!

  • @TheCrazyWhacker

Well thanks for that. Still, where is the tribute to the thousands of people killed on our roads every year? Or the thousands of innocent civilians killed in the Iraq/Afghan wars? Or, or the starving African babies who die in agony every goddamn day? This is bullshit, are the lives of a bunch of investment bankers really worth more than everybody else's? You people make me sick, I think I'm actually gonna puke.

  • @jseguin01

Yeah, sure why not.. Next thing I know Mr Keyboard Warrior will call around to beat me up? Get real.

  • brought tears to my eyes & chills down my spine when I saw it the first time. I hope they bring it back for the 10th anniversary.

  • german beer ftw

  • any one who dislikes this deserves anthrax

  • 18 PEOPLE HAVE NO SOUL! this is a beautifull commercial. they only aired it one time because they didn't want to make a profit off of it. if you don't like this commercial then you have heart!

  • Comment removed

  • This commercial sent chills down my spine when I saw it. We need to remember that attitude of solemn remembrance and respect, now more than ever.

  • this almost made me cry

  • I cry every single time

  • Their beer still sucks.

  • @Zwei4815 That is rude and stfu don't troll.

  • @metalxwolf It's true. Haven't you tried their beer?

  • Respect

  • Totally cool!!!!!!The 17 dislikes cannot be Americans...........When a Clydesdale kneels to anything..THAT is RESPECT :-)

  • This is an awesome video! Great job guys

  • Truly graceful animals brought tears to my eyes

    Hunter Jumper's of America

    Lakeview,Ca USA

  • I remember the first time I saw this...I was like "awh crap..somebody hand me a Kleenex!" Great ad, as all Clydesdale Bud ads are.

  • @pepelepou you're pathetic

  • @pepelepou they are bowing down to pay respect to 9-11

  • @pepelepou your pathetic!

  • @piperkitty1996 no you.

i suppose you're proud to see osama been killed for a "democratic" and "civilised" country don't you...

  • @pepelepou shut your face

  • 10 years later....and it still makes me cry just as much as ever. This was beautifully done. A very fitting tribute.

  • Still makes me cry. Great ad!

  • WOW. Just saw this for the first time EVER and simply, wow. Great job Budweiser.

I just saw the Clydesdales today at Kemah Boardwalk and a co-worker told me about this video. So glad I took the time to find it.

  • Wow, I didn't get to see this commercial when it aired but wow, this made me tear up even 10 years after that horrible day. This is as great and touching as the Dale Earnhardt tribute Budweiser commercial that aired just a couple weeks after Dale Earnhardt's death.

  • Beautiful commercial Budweiser. You brought tears to my eyes.

  • Anyone that dislikes this doesn't have a heart.

  • I still can't watch this commercial without tearing up. What makes it even more moving to me is knowing they only played this add ONCE......just once.....it wasn't done to make money, or to make people talk...it was done just for the reason it says...RESPECT

  • Its like those horses are bowing there heads, as if to say "have a beer"

  • This must be, without a doubt, one of the most moving displays of respect for one's country and people...without words and within one minute. The powerful and majestic team of horses couldn't have been more perfect, and I am moved to tears every time I watch this. Thank you, Budweiser!

  • IMO this isn't a typical Budweiser commercial because they're usually funny and crazy and stuff but this one has the beautiful song playing with the beautiful horses trotting through the streets then bowing down... I know people who actually SEEN these horses and they said they are the most beautiful horses!

  • 9 years later, still the most amazing commercial ever...

  • Fake!

  • @Majortom71 Shut up stupid.

  • @Majortom71 your exsistance is fake..

  • @christinecassin sign off jerk! get a life., stop ruining for everyone else! u need to be where the fighting is so you can get a taste of war! then your a hole mouth would shut up and say thank you to our troops! you are a miserable person, i feel sorry for you and will pray for you! obviously! you should be proud to be an american! the only reason you can run your ignorant mouth is because of the men and women defending your freedom everyday! GET A LIFE AND GET OFF OF HERE!! GREAT COMMERCIAL!

  • @clbangeleyes57 HEY YOU GOT THE WRONG PERSON.WATCH YOUR REPLY WHERE DID I SEND IN A BAD REPLY..YOUR IGNORANT AND SOUND LIKE YOUR A FEW NUGGETS SHORT OF A HAPPY MEAL.SIT ON YOUR MIDDLE FINGER AND LET IT ROTATE AND WHEN IT REACHES YOUR ELBOW WHISTLE DIXIE,,,

  • Great beer commercial from a great American company. Sad they are now a subsidiary of Belgium-based InBev.

  • @gibbersome great american company, who stole trademark from czech republic brewery

  • Still makes me cry. Beautiful....

  • One of THE best (if not THE best) Budweiser commercials. I remember when I first saw this commercial it took my breath away...just awesome...

  • I watch this video each year before Super Bowl. There have been a lot of commercials made over the years for the big event but this is the ONLY one that I remember, almost 10 years later. All the others have faded over the years but the Respect commercial is the one that stays in my heart and mind. A moving tribute to a terrible time for our nation - never forget!

  • this commerical shook me to the core that super bowl night.,the year we thought the tears would never stop flowing.well, it still has the same effect, all these years later.

thank you for posting this.(P.S. i had a friend in the south tower on that deadful day)

  • everytime i watch this video i start crying. Great job budweiser. I aprreciate this not as a beer commercial but as respect to the 911 victims and family. Thank you again for paying tribute.

  • Why is this in the Superbowl 2000 ads playlist since it was released in 2002?

  • There was a lot of sensitivity in the US the time. Anheuser-Busch addressed it with such dignity to show their solace and respect. I applaude their advertising agency. This was not a beer commercial, it was one that paid tribute to the times in good taste when it was called for.

  • I love everything about this commercial. The horses really simplify and capture the emotions everyone was feeling. They go all the way to New York, as if they have to see it for themselves to believe it. They get there, see it for themselves, stand around kind of stunned, like they still can't grasp it, and then do the only thing that can possibly be done: remember and show respect.

  • This puts me in tears every time. Respect

  • danget............im crying again!! :,(

  • @lillianclinton42 me too.

  • If you don't shead a tear watching this,,your not American.. 1980,,Fort Bragg N.C.,,I just wish I was young enough to do it again now...

  • There are no words to convey the beauty of this commercial....

  • I CRY EVERYTIME I PLAY THIS. I LOVE THEW RESPECT IT SHOWS.

  • I was absolutely stunned when I saw this back in `02. No words are spoken but these magnificent animals brought the feeling America was feeling home. Thank you Budweiser.

  • They only played this once during the game in '02, but I was fortunate enough to see it live. I remember feeling goosebumps and shivers like I had never experienced before when I saw it then. After watching it for the first time in a while, they came right back.

  • These horses are so beautiful!

  • Tears in my eyes.

Now on Tuesday. November 2, 2010, we can start the healing.

  • How can I save this to my iPod? Thanks!

  • I was born and raised in St. Charles, went every year to Grants farm and to tour the brewery. These horses are beautiful and magnificent. This makes me proud to be a Bud girl.

  • Inks...get a grip and stop screaming at us.

  • the 15 people who disliked this hate America

  • Such a beautiful commercial. I teared up!

  • Excellent.................

  • a beautifull ad with much respect.

  • I doubt the Clydesdales are in favor of a Mosque either.

  • I like this video. It seems like the Budweiser horses have more sense and respect than some humans.

  • if i were making this commercial... when the close up of the horse's face is made, i would have made sure his blinders were not on. i could imagine some conspiracy nut using that as some crazy rant about how 9/11 was an inside job and Budweiser knew about it. lovely commercial otherwise.

  • Wow! This video is one f the most awesome tributes I have ever seen regarding that terrible day in my City. (Yesterday, 9/11/10, was the first time I had seen this commercial.) We should all bow our heads with the amount of respect that was symbolized by these Clydesdale images. On this 9th anniverary of that day that changed history I again watched the reading of the names of those lives lost at the World Trade Center disaster and my heart is still heavy. Sincerely, Tom Martin Jr., NYC.

  • MAY THE LORD BE WITH ALL....NEVER FORGET...I NEVER WILL, IT TOTALLY DESTROYED MY BIRTHDAY, I WAS SO DEPRESSED WHEN IT HAPPENED AND WHEN THEY MADE THIS TRIBUTE (NOT COMMERCIAL) IT MOVED ME, IT TOLD ME IM STILL ALIVE AND SO ARE THE ONES WHO WE'LL NEVER FORGET FROM THIS DAY...WE STAND IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHOM FALLEN...RIP EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU....SDMF

  • It doesn't matter if Budweiser still owns the Clydesdale's or if they own any horses, the fact is....they not only showed respect and honored the victims of that horrible tragic day, but they did it with class...not for the advertisement to ring up sales, but to wipe the tears and pat those who deserve it on the back...to them a ^5 and a "thank you" you can hear around the world.

  • Awesome video. Respectfully done tribute.

  • This is a very moving tribute. I hope you like it. God bless us all.

  • GREAT vid, thanks for posting it. Minor problem tho; you have the Super Bowl date wrong; it was played on Feb. 3, 2002, not in January.

  • What the hell are the 15 douche bags that voted this down thinking?

  • Well, anyone who still thinks Budweiser is the same is mistaken. A foreign company now owns them and got rid of the Clydesdales. So much for wanting to keep Bud the same. They used to be a class act and the horses showed it, now they are a money grubbing corporation. You notice no horse commercials in the last super bowl?

  • run them fothermucking camels over with a Clydesdale!

  • I love Budeiser, not because of the taste I don't know anything about that yet :P but because of its pride of their country, if only more companies could be like them

  • wow just had this sent to me via email an had to come see the original..

Very touching, makes me want to go buy a 6 pack, an I don't even drink..lol

  • It starts of with the horses making their typical annual round to the city with the music bright and cheery like you always here it and you don't really expect anything other than what you're used to seeing from budweiser; but something was different....

when they reached downtown the bright cheery music stopped and the horse looked around kind of confused. Then they focused on the Statue of Liberty for strength and to pay respect. I was totally blown out of the water!!!

  • Budweiser commercial re: 9/11, aired only ONCE! This is the commercial spot Budweiser produced after 9/11. They only aired it once so as not to benefit financially from it - they just wanted to acknowledge the tragic event. This is so consistent with a company who always does things with a ton of class!! Can you imagine what the cost was considering production, air time, etc? I never saw this commercial until now. it is quite moving. Talk about a picture being worth a thousand words

  • Very moving and touching. Kudos to Budweiser!

  • Awesome! That shows real class. Thank you, Budweiser.

  • Now THAT was a tribute, thank you Budweiser.

  • I love them and their commercials. They are truly magnificent. In person, they are wonderful and amazing as well.

  • Being from new york this is so amazing what they did. This commercial still brings tears to my eyes. This was an amazing tribute.

  • This still brings a tear to my eyes every time I watch it...

  • The coachmen could have taken their hats off....

  • They only showed it once so no profit could be made. Now thats a tribute.

  • WTF??!

This doesn't look anything like Jersey City or Hoboken.

  • this was awesome vid man when i was in nyc and saw this vid made me wanna cry nice to see they dont care about profits and i like that very much that why i chose bud not miller =)

  • Best Super Bowl commercial ever

  • This is truly beautiful. God Bless America and thanks to Budwiser for this commercial.

  • 1 word says it all "RESPECT"

  • I worked at a farm in New Jersey and this horse team stayed at the property while they were filming in New York. Was great to have them there, and hear that they were doing a tribute to 9/11 were the horses bowed, well done.

  • it is very touchy. A tear went down...

  • Well said. this was shown ONCE when everyone at super bowl XXVI was on and the training that it took for those horses. it starts from the back and here we are in 2010 . no they did not do this for money heck no for what it was RESPECT.

  • If you are still wondering about Otto Dix, check this week's New Yorker magazine--very good article.

  • its almost 9 years since that terrible day,and this commercial still brings tears to my eyes. ,THANK YOU BUD.

  • Oh geez I thought I commented on this video! I guess I didn't. There are no words to describe the majesty of this commercial. It says all it needs to without a word. Thank you Budweiser. Best commercial I have EVER seen.

  • I found this video by accident, and I'm glad I did. I remember getting choked up when I would see these fabulous creatures on a Bud commercial. Same thing watching this.

  • Beautiful, tasteful, moving...made me cry when I first watched it in 2002. I've never forgotten it, and it still has the same effect on me today. Perhaps the best ad ever, IMO.

  • Have you at Budweiser thought about doing something like this, RESPECT, for the troops. Would like to see one for them also.

  • I am a retired horsewoman. I know the training it took to teach these wonderous clydesdales this, did everyone notice their foot movements were almost perfectly matched, it started with the back feet to the right front then to the bow of the left foot and then head, I have to wonder if there was a command for each movement. I had to play this thing on repeat for about an hour before I could watch it without tears.

  • Tears

  • I was so angry when this wasn't on the recent CBS best SuperBowl commercials of the last 10 years. This should have been there. It's #1 on my list.

  • @facerw I couldn't agree more!

  • This was dircted by Zack Snyder. Hard to believe that such a beautiful commercial came from the person that directed such violent films as 300,The watchmen and Dawn of the Dead remake. Great job Zack.

  • tears!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree with you Les. Yes, it might be an ad and propaganda - but the Budweiser Co. and their Clydesdales, the Superbowl, and the WTC are all pieces of Americana. This was one piece of Americana paying its respects to another. Still tear when I watch it. Still my favorite~

  • While discussing today the host of terrible, inane, idiotic superbowl commercials we saw this year, I recalled this one. To me, this by far the best and most memorable one to date.

  • When viewing this, one can almost feel the beauty and majesty of these magnificent animals! It is almost as if they could actually "feel" the country's mourning and loss. What a wonderful, wonderful tribute. Very well done Budweiser, thank you for sharing your beautiful animals with us. Everytime I see this, it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you again.

  • @cln1nurse I feel the same way.....can't watch it without tearing up.

  • @cln1nurse

They could feel it. They may not have totally understood it, but horses are damn smart and I guarantee you they knew it and felt it.

  • Oh wow!

  • Totally amazing. I got a tear in my eyes.

    I love those amazing horses.

  • Tears.....

  • Classic ... only ran once on TV during the Superbowl ... after that terrible event on 9-11 ... kudos is all I can say!

  • I really hope for the 2012 Super Bowl they redo this commercial again.

  • with a two and a half hour running time and cgi horses and call it: 9/11 horses begin

  • i have never seen this before. being a new yorker, it truly touched me. beautiful.

  • im a kid and dont remember much about 9/11 but i remember this commerical.. i think busweiser shows great respect for this country when doing this commercial.. i get teary eyed when i see this commercial

  • Me too!!!!

  • Goosebumps. Thats all I can say. I wish we had more companies and people like the people at Anheiser-Bush; they are very classy, responsible, and true American workers. For a beer company, they stand for what this country means.

  • holy crap I think I might just start crying...

  • This is absolutely beautiful! What a brilliant way to honor such a great city and a wonderful country! Great work Budweiser! Still crying.....

  • I remember watching this commerical and bawling my eyes out. I even called Budweiser and asked them if they would be making a poster of the final shot. They said no. If anyone knows any different please post it on here.

The most beautiful tribute to NYC EVER

  • I totally agree with you.... I still get a huge lump in my throat every time I see it. A very touching tribute to a great American city. RESPECT!!!!!!!

  • No wonder Ad revenue for the Super Bowl went down from the year before in 2002...advertisers wanted to spend on the Salt Lake City Olympics!

  • I have to agree with everyone's comments here. I remember watching this one when it aired and thinking to myself, "That has to be THE BEST, most moving commercial I've ever seen in my life." I remember looking at everyone and there was not a dry eye in the house! Well done Budweiser!

  • You have to be truly heartless not to have emotion watching this spot. Wordless, simple, effective, memorable, timeless......in other words, perfect.

  • I agree 100%. Priceless!!!

  • Best commercial ever. Should have been voted "Best Super Bowl Ad of the Decade" last night. thank you Budweiser, for a wonderful tribute.

  • I remember everyone at my house to watch the game getting so quiet and teary at this commercial when they aired it during that Super Bowl (which, fittingly, a team named the Patriots won). And all these years later, it still makes me cry. Well done, Budweiser.

  • @web2886

Yeah...I know exactly what you mean. It still makes me cry too.

  • My heart actually hurts when I watch this, most moving commercial I've ever seen. I hope we always remember how we felt the day it happened and keep the people that were killed in our prayers daily.

  • I remember that all so well. I contacted Budweiser to ask if they would give out copies, they declined. I had glad to see they changed their mind. Good thing for You Tube. This has to be the best commercial ever. Remember the 343!

  • I haven't seen this commercial until today and it is THE best ad I have ever seen..i brought tears to my eyes..GOD bless those who were lost on that day, may their memory serve as an enduring tribute to freedom and our way of life...we will never forget

  • I will never forget the silence in the room when this commercial aired...everyone watching the game teared up...a good ad hits you on an emotional level...this one is tough to beat

  • This has got to be one of the most moving commercials I have ever seen. They only aired it once during the Superbowl in 2002, five months after the attacks. They only showed it once because not only sis they want to show respect to those lost, they didn't want to profit from showing the commercial over and over again.

  • Proof that 9/11 affected us all GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • This is the most beautiful commercial I have ever seen. I am not American and yet it almost brings tears to my eyes.

  • Being United States American or not has nothing to do with it ! If your a human being, it should of hit you like a ton of bricks!!!

  • I'm proud to be serving, and I'm proud of those who have served before me. FD, PD, Military and the loved ones in the towers that day. I always loved this tribute.

  • Best commercial of the decade. May it continue to live on as a classic. This brought me to tears when I first saw it back in 2002. It was rated the best commercial of the superbowl, and with good reason.
