Because FFXIII, FFXIII Versus and FFXIII Agito; are all part of a project SE is making... of the 3 individual games (yet unrelated story-wise and gameplay-wise) only FFXIII is going to be released for the 360 as well. Versus will stay PS3 exclusive and Agito is a cellphone only game (most likely only japanese people will get to play it, just like FFVII Before Crisis).

As a side note, FFXIII is a classic RPG, while Versus is more action based, like Kingdom Hearts was.

FFXIII was already in production but sony's sorta being dumb by giving it away to microsoft but aside from all that, their beginning the development of the xbox version. AS far i can tell is the diffrance bewtween the that they tell different stories but are based in the same world. Both have different battle systems and charcters however. FFXIII verus is desgined to be more realistic then pervious final fantasy games.
