what a fictional portrayal of a historical charter...... Jane stop wearing mens cloths when living in deadwood and worked at the Gem saloon. She was a big girl heavy set. Why didn' t Hollywood portray her this way. I never liked the character and the worst casting in the whole show.

Watching the series for the first time just recently I was amazed that this quality of a show depicting that era was canceled. At first I was a bit put off by the swearing but then it became such a part of the characters that it was expected to be heard! I have now developed a bit of a Calamity Jane attitude and have felt the need to tell more people to "Go Fuck Themselves" on a daily basis....even if the words are only rolling around in my mind....Thank You Deadwood and Calamity Jane!
