I don't know why debney had to make a song and dance out of what was a perfectly, emotionally uplifting piece of music, just as it was in the film. What is it with composers that they have to do the Beethoven bit?!!

i ve never understood how the watever hes called conductor moves his hands is there a way to do it i mean does a particular movement mean some thing like a language or is it just different with every conductor imean does he like just move his hands howeverhe feels right Lol never understood it i get tht when u go from high to low or slow to fast there is alot of variation but is there a blueprint tht is followed or he just waves his hands like a monkey lol joking

I think it's more for the time the musicians have to hold a note, or the exact moment to play, or it's just an image of how the music should flow, which helps the musicians in playing better!

@Joel0277 Part of it depends on the style of the piece. If the piece is legato (connected, smooth) the conducting will also be. If the piece is staccato (disconnected) the conducting will reflect this. Part also depends on the "time signature." This tells how many beats there are in a measure and how long a beat lasts. The main objective of conducting is to keep the group together and sounding connected.
