  • Good job. I sang a youtube version of this song too. you should check it out.

  • thank you!!!!

  • this is a respectable rendition of such a classic song! congrats to you! i have to say, my favorite version of this song is carrie underwood's, because she hits the super high belts with such ease, and it doesn't even sound like she has to use much mixed voice to get there, unlike celine, who you can hear is using a lot of head voice on that F#!

  • reply...well celine does use a mixed voice and she is old now.....

carrie's version is the best though....

    thanks for checking this out.....

  • yes, celine didn't start singing so high until recently. her voice is like fine wine, it actually gets better with age! she's the only diva (of "the trinity", mariah, whitney celine) who still has her voice. and she's the most humble too!

  • this song is a little high for you, I can hear your strain as you go for the upper notes, next time I would try lowering the key, or pick something more in your range, maybe a michael buble song perhaps. you sound your best when you sing more softly. :)

  • yeah, i also think of that way, perhaps he can sing josh groban, or michael buble as what you said,

i think he has that technique of reaching high notes, but he can't float on a song full of high notes, just like what sopranos can....

    Star for effort!

  • the key that i sang this in wasn't too high...

i know i sound strained when i sing the part "chills me to the bone" because of the word bone which is difficult to pronounce at a high note....otherwise this song was very comfortable 4 me to sing...

it's something like trying to say an 'ee' sound at a high note...your voice loses control easily in that case

  • thats true, pronuciation can for sure have an effect on your performance, especially when it comes to reaching higher notes.

  • yeah...especially in mixed voice coz ur already putting in effort to keep your chest voice n falsetto mixed .....so ur voice tends to be unstable....that's why most of nicole scherzinger's notes like the F# and Gs are mostly 'yeah' or sth like that

  • yeah i know what you mean, like my girl christina....when she sings an F or F# or G, she needs to use a lot of mixed voice, so her voice sounds very thin and shaky, and she only hits it for very short duration.

  • hey!! when did christina become ur girl...she's mine and all mine...lol

her F's are pretty good now though.....

  • nice high note. sounds so effortless for you, just like carrie. :)

  • REALLY??? WOW!!!!

Melissa!! you just made my day!!!

    Thanks!!!

  • yeah! that's the best high note i've ever heard you hit, and it's funny because it's one of the most difficult...even in the key of a tenor!

  • well.....be ready for more killer renditions from me in the future...my holidays are going on rite now so i sing all day long..lol

my next video will be either "another day" by 'Dream Theater' or "Disappear" by 'Beyonce'...whichever recording comes out better...watch out for it

  • hey!!! thanks for listening in....

please share this with your frnds n spread the word.....

    i do likewise for u....

u now have officially at least 4 fans(my frnds) in my country...including me
