I just saw this video featured on the BBC Graham Norton Show which had Harry Connick Jr., Catherine Jenkins and Ben Brydon. The had one with a German Shepherd howling to Ave Maria, and an aristocratic looking Great Dane titled "Dog Sings Opera" in another. Then they had this one with Basil the Opera Singing Scotty Dog from Canada. Catherine Jenkins sang a bit of O Mio Babbino Caro, and Basil howled along over Skype. Hilarious!
Love it! I also have to Scotish.. Probablly the most inteligent dogs in the planet...I am sure that if Maria Callas was alive she will love to sing with him!!! Excelent duet!
This is the most adorable dog I have ever seen in my life!!! He has melted my heart into a pile of soppy mush. Maria Callas would be proud. Unless you believe in reincarnation, and... ha ha xx
I think you've been taking too many walks, and vacations this past summer! The intrusive H's are not yet completely eliminated. Is fame going to your head? "Must work harder"! The world awaits with bated breath.
The next stop is the Met! This is awesome. I would give anything to hear my Scottie bark. He has not barked in years. A vow of silence? Who knows what's going on with him.
Basil, I told you tenors don't wag their tails. You're needing to attend an Elisabeth Schwarzkopf Masterclass. She'll sort you out. Make no bones about it.
Do I detect a few intrusive H's? Basil, work hard on their elimination, and you will have the major opera houses begging you to appear. A new Callas. Shocked the musical world initially with her unique voice and technique. Go for it boy!
Every living entity must love and enjoy Maria Callas' singing. I think a plant would grow faster and stay healthier if you played Maria Callas albums next to it.
Are you suggesting Basil is a member of the Renata Tebaldi claque, which used to noisily boo and howl abuse at Callas from the top rear balcony(the VERY cheap seats) almost nightly at La Scala? In my humble opinion I believe Basil is merely practising to be Callas's Lieutenant Pinkerton. He is a gifted tenor, and the world awaits.
this is the most adorable thing i've ever seen--a scottish terrier who appreciates opera. especially with his/her red collar, s/he looks just like my scottie.
I remember seeing Basil on the T.V :D He is so cute ;3

the reason his ears and tail look "big and long" is because he isn't trimmed. he will look much different when his hair is cut.

Probably the sweetest thing I've ever seen and heard. What song is that, btw? I've heard it before.
