As a Democrat, I have to say that the GOP in Maryland seems rather civil and polite. I heard nary a syllable of the "muslimsocialistatheist" nonsense spouted elsewhere on that night. Good for them, and good for Maryland.

I use to live in Maryland. There is no hope for a Republican in taht state which is heavily Democratic next to New York and California. South Carolina is nice red, and conservative!
