  • @MrRichierich1990

    yup,same body too

  • i love the moonroof

  • i have a 97 riviera 3800II n/a would love to s/c it the 3800II n/a has higher compression just wish the battery was not under the back seat

  • I have a 98 LSS, and its beautiful

  • i agree with you about gm should kill saturn. but the saturn sky is nice. Its like a baby corvette.

  • I LOVE the Sky. Its perhaps the only Saturn I would drive.

  • wat is ur youtube user name for the LSS reviews?

  • same Jon3800, I post weekly videos of the LSS. I usually make spider videos on my channel, but if u request it, I will do it

  • The olds I have is a stand alone even though its a cutlass supreme, its a rare trim, SL I believe which is more luxurios than the regular cutlass supreme

  • that car is fast az hell!!! and big and roomy... i wonder why the f* did gm stop making cars like them??? now they got crappy smaller pos!!

  • I don't know, they really should kept Oldsmobile. Those were the days GM made great cars

  • Yup

  • The Aura is a spectacular car along with the sky, don't hate on Saturn LOL.

  • I know Saturn's finally woke up.

  • i agree, i read an article that stated GM might stop Saturn production.

  • I read that too, its a shame

  • I don't care about Saturn, I just hope for some reason maybe they'll bring back Olds, but I highly doubt it.

  • You know what they say about GM cars, they'll run badly longer than most cars will run at all. That 3800 series powertrain is pretty damn bullet proof.

However on the sports-sedan front in the 90s GM really failed, all those S/C 3800 powered cars torque steered like a bitch and didn't handle all that well.

Ford really did well with sport sedans on the domestic front in the 90s with the Contour SVT and the Taurus SHO (especially Gen 1 & 2)

  • they handle ok, I haven't raced with it yet. Smooth driving. They handle differently than cars like the regal GS and pontiac Grand prix GTP. I bought this car because I love the 3800 motors

  • You know what they say about GM cars, they'll run badly longer than most cars will even run. Those 3800 engines are damn though.

But when it came to making sport-sedans in the 90's GM really didn't do all that well... those things torque steer like a bitch and definitely don't enjoy corners. Ford did a lot better on the sport-sedan front, with the Taurus SHO and the Contour SVT.

  • these GM cars handle differently than the pontiac or chevy models. They have the magna-steer which is also used in cadillacs. I don't mind the cornering, I do appreciate the luxury it has for the year

  • Yeahh---smoothish ride, but I still find them floaty, and they really like to understeer, i've always found the steering far too numb also, definitely overboosted, and the auto-box only really kills any chance of these having serious sports sedan credentials. Gm really let olds loose its way.... the combination of that big s/c v6 plus fwd sans equal length halfshafts or any torque management system through a torque converter just

  • really relegates this to the highway cruiser pile, its pretty good at that I'd imagine though.....I really wish GM had taken a leaf out of Ford's book and made nimbler, lighter cars with stick shifts, the svt's and Sho's still ride smooth and are great at the highway cruise... GM didn't exploit its potential well at all in the 90s sadly.

  • Some people have different tastes in cars. For you its sports cars, for me its luxury cars

The high end models such as the Cadillac Deville or STS, Buick Park Avenue and the Oldsmobile 88,98, and LSS are aimed for the ederly so the option for stick shifts are unnecessary since some people (including myself) can't drive a stick. You can check out camaros. They have sticks

But I can't say from experience since I never driven a ford before. The most powerful car I drove is this LSS

  • Well, you need to understand that you're comparing apples to apples to oranges here. You're comparing a sports car like SVT's and Sho, when this car really should be in comparison to the Lincoln division

  • i have see to 2 olds lss where i live

  • Cool, you used my name and some of my info.

  • yes

  • Please give credit for my quote.

  • nice that car is mint looks like new even under the hood i see you take very good care of it

  • That I do :)

    Thanks

  • The H-body was introduced in 1986, and it is still used today on the Buick Lucerne. Pretty sweet.

  • nice, good to know :)

  • 1995 olds 88 came with series II 3800, it was the first year. Check it out. Nice olds by the way.

  • Oh right thanks. I think I was referring to the S/C version

  • I agree, GM should have shut-down Saturn and not Oldsmobile, Saturn isn't that good.

  • I agree, after all Olds ia kinda the founder of GM

  • Or maybe even shut-down Pontiac.

  • Ya, they used to have great cars like the Bonneville and the late Grand Prix. Not anymore...

  • Yeah those were cool.

  • It's a shame because Oldsmobile has been around since like the 1890s

  • I know :(

  • I'll film a little bit of my Car, cause it's a king of different ! Cya

  • cool, love to see it

  • I got one Too but min Is Black with Black INterior ! ! They are really Nice thos LSS ! :D !

  • YESS 3.8s ROCK

hopefulyl we'll see a driving part of ur car when the winter is over :p

  • ya :)

  • 3.8 or aka 3800 is the best gm motor to come out my sister had a 1994 olds 88 fully loaded expect a sunroof ( its was originally its was my grandpas )and it had over 200K .... or something i miss that car.

  • i know, gotta love them :)

  • take care of it and keep it maintained oil and tune ups... oka about my the olds 88 that i was talking about.. it was of the truck so when my grandpa got it had less the 1 miles on the odometer

  • Thanks, will do :)

  • I like your videos. I need share things with you. The 98 was a C-Body ( Deville, Park Avenue,Fleetwood)and was top of the line. I have a 98 and a Toronado and both of my cars have features your car do not have. The LSS was the top of the 88 line. The 88 was a H-Body. It was a part of the 88 line up then became stand alone after the "new" Oldsmobile started with Aurora and Intrigue and Alero.

The 3800 Series I was used in 1992-1994. The Series II came out in 1995. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks for the info :)

  • anythingu can tell me about my 86 buick? its hard to find stuff on the internet about older vehicles..sigh lol

  • you can wikipedia it, they have sometimes good info on cars

  • hey olds ddid u get my message? lol

  • you can put a northstar in there.LSS, not the usual choice of car for a young man. but fast enough. north stars crack heads and blow head gaskets.

  • You are so right!! I love GM, and I tell people that all the time! That is why I did not buy a 1994-1999 Seville, 1993-1999 Eldorado. I also liked the 1997-1999 Deville. I do not trust Northstar. Oldsmobile offered the 4.0 Aurora V8 based on Northstar in the Aurora. The Twin Cam V6 in Intrigue which was called Shor tstar was based on this engine family too. They both died with Oldsmobile.

The Northstar is used in Bonneville GXP, Buick Lucerne CXS, and DTS.

  • Love it, I'd keep the 3800 in there. Awesome engines and has lot of life in it :)

As you've proven to us...3800s are TOUGH :)

  • Nice car.

  • Thanks :)

  • your car is exactly like my dads cept his was a 97 non supercharged his was rarer cause it was made with the imatation convertable top thing died finally with nearly 300,000 miles and a replacement engine but i love them cars wish we still had his though but it was trashed

  • oh, ya. Pretty cool, 3800s are awesome :)

  • i agree they are awesome his was still goin even with a busted original transmission max speed i got it up to was 130 like floatin on a cloud your is different cause it dont have the typical lss wheels on it your wheels looks like those off a 92 oldsmobile the lss from 96-99 had a 5 spoke wheel by enkei but still a nice car 5 stars keep her shinin too

  • yup, makes it stand out. Thanks, she'll be on the road in May, so I'll make some driving videos

  • OH CLASSIC NEVER GETS OLD

  • Never :)
