we built one in our welding class, with a honda cbr 600rr engine :) and we mounted a 2 1/2 gallon tank under the seat with a 3/8 inch mild steel protecter plate under it was that safe? if not we can still change it

the safest place for the tank is between your legs, if its under your seat and rases the highth of the person siting in the seat it then its dangerous, in the 50's and 60's the tank was bolted to the back of the seat many tank got hit, was a bad place for a tank it looked kool there but was unsafe, why reinvent the wheel just put it where it belongs dave!

Suzuki never made an air/oil cooled hayabusa, so that's obviously NOT a Hayabusa motor. What it IS, is an old GSX-R 1100 motor from any model between 1986 - 1994. (notice it isn't water cooled)
