Termi's probably don't have cats in either...

The glow is only the catalyst, it is bad due to being a restriction, whip them out with a full system.

The stock cans have a catalytic convertor for Euro 3 emissions.  The glow you can see is the cat' at full operating temperature near 400 degrees C.

This glow is beautiful at night, parking the bike in your garage after a lovely trip. Curiously enough, it doesn't work witht the full line Termignoni silencers. Other things work extraordinarily well with them of course :-)

It isn't that curious. Termignoni silencers are much more "open" than stock exhausts, so gases go trough faster, without any kind of obstacles in front of it.

Completely remove everything inside the cans (catalytic converters, baffles). See my other videos to see how it turned out.

Yes. I'm actually getting ready to remove the cats and core the exhaust. The glow will be no more. Just ordered some 2.5" perforated pipe and a Two Brothers exhaust repack kit. Hot cats = hot seat... looking forward to not getting my backside scorched during summer riding. I'll miss the heat in the winter, though.
