@VPowerUnlimited Garage band limits you only in editing/utility. It can allow for almost all the same plug-ins and VSTs that I use.

@EssenceLongboards cubase is where its at, reason is good for beginners, fl studio is also pretty handy. and ableton is the best for live performances.

@dirty1smelly1turban It really depends on what you are looking for. Logic and ProTools are considered industry standard right now. The others work just fine, but preference plays a huge part in choosing a DAW. I prefer the midi functionality of Logic over any other DAW to date. That could change if a newer, better program came out.
