@Anakefy The Apple TV can only be connected to a TV...AirPlay enables you to watch movies stored on your computer on the Apple TV using iTunes. Hope this makes sense.
@Drewhillbaby1503 You can't really upload pictures to the Apple TV, you can stream videos and photos to the Apple TV with your iPhone and iPad. If you wish to view images stored on your Mac you will need to add your Mac to the list of computers on your Apple TV.
@ldneagle I hope. The Apple website still shows this as a feature that will be available. I am unable to test with 4.2 because APTV is supposed to get an update that will enable this feature.

@ldneagle Yes. It works like a charm. You can even AirPlay pictures from your iPhone and iPad...sweet.
