@RockandHowl zeppelin were heavy in the sense that they played loud. with bonham smashing those drums and page making up these genius riffs with distortion to the max and just playing every show like it was their last. while Black Sabbath kinda brought that more evil side to music with lyrical themes and ideologies dealing with more social ideas like politics etc. plus the downtuned guitar of Tony Iommi. so they were both important in shaping what heavy is today.

Even if they have the "love" theme more frequent in their songs, Led Zeppelin are a huge force in heavy metal/hard rock because of the guitarist, Page's style. You don't come around too much headbangers nowadays and recognize such huge influence from Iommy, but you can recognize easier Page's style. No diss towards Sabbath. Both Zepp and Sabbath are my favourite bands (among Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Pink Floyd and some others.)
I think this cover is awesome, of course Zep did it better. No one does Zep better than Zep...But for a harder more metal version Megadeth did an awesome job.

Josh Christian uses pentatonics plus about everything else humanly imaginable in his solos, and is an amazing rhythm guitarist. As far as singing goes.... I have a friend who has no singing experience whatsoever who does a perfect impression of Dave Mustaine. Try doing that with Charles Sabin...

Of course Led Zeppelin's version is better because it's the original but covers from other artist aren't always meant to exactly the same as the original because the artist who is doing the cover always bring their style into the song. Alright then. Anyway, the "Opinion" that Josh Christian is a better guitarist then Dave Mustaine is hardly that. Dave uses pentatonic scales in his soloing, and is a pretty good rhythm guitarist. Josh Christian uses pentatonics plus about everything else humanly imaginable in his solos, and is an amazing rhythm guitarist. As far as singing goes.... I have a friend who has no singing experience whatsoever who does a perfect impression of Dave Mustaine. Try doing that with Charles Sabin...
