I used to work for Comet who nicknamed Indersit, Indershit IT WILL BREAK DOWN! DO NOT BUY THEIR STUFF they took over Hotpoint so be careful! Its a lot of cash to waste!
nice flat you got i like it, what you need to do is remove the transit bolts located on the back of the machine if that doesn't work you need to level the legs on the bottom but its typical indesit the amount of times I've been called to fix a indesit its countless
because European houses are smaller than in the US. Most people don't have a utility or laundry room here. My washer and dryer are both in my kitchen. Doesn't make a difference here really as we are a frontloader country and have our washing machines under the counter. If we had toploaders, it would be another story
Why do you wanna see the full cycle then? There's not really much to look at except the lights and you can hear it lol. We have one and we love it, its MUCH quieter than the one in this video and ours certainly doesn't shake like that. Cleans/rinses clothes brilliantly.
26890 sad sad cunts watching a washing machine, I came here just to say that XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
It certainly looks like it could do with being more level on the floor but bear in mind Indesit are some of the worst made machines available at the moment.
I don't work in the industry but I know an awful lot about washing machines. Zanussi's are the only good Italian machines around these days. I'd stay well clear of anything made by Merloni (Indesit, Hotpoint, Ariston, Servis and Electra) These brands we're all great until Merloni got their hands on them. Indesit was good until 2001 but anything made after then will not last all that long. They're pretty much disposable machines these days
Hi, thanks 4 shedding light on Servis, I didn't know they could be linked in anyway 2 Merloni. I did my research and found that these firms are in partnership. As 4 Zanussi, it is hasn't been Italian 4 a long time (only the founder was) as it's Electrolux (known in Italy with subrands such as Rex, Zoppas, etc). I find Candy (also Hoover recently) more reliable than the first lot, however, from what I read, if 1 seeks superior quality, German brands is perhaps the way 2 go.
Well I beleive Serivs have now gone into administration. Yes Zanussi are indeed owned by Electrolux and have been since the 80's. From my experience these are much more reliable the Candy group machines and even BHS group (Bosch,Siemens) machines. Electrolux also owns AEG so these are now basically the same as Zanussis now. Ofcourse all of these machines pale in comparison to Miele. German brands are still pretty good but stear clear of Bauknecht.
Thanks again and 4 your quick response 2... I have never seen a Bauknecht (a struggle 2 spell it and all LOL), I'll keep your piece of advice in mind should I come across 1 of these. Probably with all budget brands (this also includes some Electrolux brands) is a bit of a hit and miss sit... my Candy and Hoover are ever so reliable and great @ doing their stuff with the least impact on my bills and the environment: maybe I've been lucky ;-)
Bauknecht are made by Whirlpool but before the late 90s they were a brand by themselves and were really good. Hoover were amazing until they were taken over by Candy in 1995, my Hoover is from 1992 and it's like a tank! Usually you will find build quality and reliability are the same across a brand's range. The basic Electrolux will be of a similar build quality to the most expensive. All you pay more for are features and the name. My machine uses 134l but rinses much better than newer washers.
Actually I think I might be wrong there. It might be Bauknecht that owns Whirlpool in Europe but either way the quality of both brands has gone dramatically downhill since the 90's
I agree with most of the things you've said, however I'm still a keen admirer of the Candy Group (even more so Hoover for their appealing design). Good rinsing in WMs can be achieved as well in an anti-guzzling fashion: quantity does not always mean quality. It's all down to personal experiences (mine differs from yours) which ultimately lead to the creation of different opinions. At the end of the day I do like all brands: they're all out there to cater 4 our many likes and preferences ;-)
I agree that good rinsing can be achieved using much less water, but most machines these days use enough water to rise well (i.e.49l) but most do not use it efficiently enough to provide good rinsing if this makes sense. Also the environmental impacts of an older machine being sent to the landfill and the energy used to build a new one far outweighs the extra water usage. Besides newer machines tend not to last as long, so this means machines being trashed and new ones built a lot more often.
You indeed make a lot of sense. It would be nice if those people out there who are replacing their washer just because the draining pump has failed did read your comments. Thumbs up :-)
Funny you should mention that I had the drain pump replaced on my machine last week. First break down in 17 years, not bad huh?
I think the worst thing is when people replace their machine cos it "looks old-fashioned" or they want a "better" one with a "faster spin" and so on. Now that's wasteful!
It may just be a bad infrastructure design. Not much can be done, unless you are willing to sell/return this washing machine and purchase a different brand.
You need to remove the transit bolts back in the machine and the plastic around the bolts. The shop did not installed to you correctly. Thgis repair will only take you 2 minutes. I hope it resolves your problem.
This heap of shite is gonna be an engineers nightmare. I'm an engineer for a retailer that will be supplying these contraptions, and to tell you the truth I'm contemplating taking a hammer to one everytime I get called out to one.....How the hell are we supposed to tell if its filling to the right level??
unless you work for comet you shouldnt even be touching this machine, this machine is under 12 month old and if you are not a qualified comet/merloni engineer you are voided your customers warrenty.
I take it your in the game yourself then. I'm still waiting to be trained on them. I have been out to see 2 of them so far an btw was a s baffled as my first ay at kinmel park, and that was 5 odd years ago
i work for indesit on the helpdesk, we really dont get many calls about these machines at alls. i just cant wait until the day we stop recieving calls about vogue ii drums!
lol....you'd have thought they would have consined that to the museum by now. I dont't like this concept of changing the bearings on them though. Management should get their heads out of theit backsides and realise no 2 areas in the uk are the same.
Its impossible to do bearings on a vougue 2 if you're covering inner london...
I just don't do em, even the complete tub change. There is no way I am going to park 2 miles away and in a lot of cases walk up 5 flights of stairs to do a tub change.....
I should probably say that like a lot of you had noticed it was acting like this because I hadn't taken the transit bolts out, John Lewis still replaced it though -bless them- and we now have a lovely working machine sans bolts working fine.
@ricdabush If not transit bolts check that the machines adjustable feet are set to make the machine level with a spirit level then lock them off on the nut ,2person job which is a bit of a pain but once done properly no more eccess vibration!
the machine loocks cool, but the problem is that indesit build low technical quality. We once had another indesit model and it brake after 2 months. If you want quality you must buy a miele.
That machine should have sensors to detect an out of balance spin like that. Machine then slows down to redistribute the load. If that does not work, the controller also varies the spin RPM to avoid destructive harmonics like that.
that's my opinion too. but unfortunately my kitchen is essentially in my lounge so I need a good looking machine more than a functioning one! The same reason I bought the Smegg dishwasher which BTW is also shit.
I'm not sure actually, John Lewis installed it so I'd assume they'd have taken the transit bolts out. They are bringing me a knew one on Tues though so I don't think I'll try checking myself. Thanks for the suggestion.
John Lewis (store in the UK) came and picked up the one in the video and gave us a new one. This time they took the transit bolts out and it worked fine. In other words - like so many of you have said I should have take the transit bolts out. The current one works very well and we're pleased with it.
thats crappy it should be quiet for a start like it should be brushless. also it should balance the load itself and its called moon so it should be silent and u cant see whats going on inside so it might not even be doing a good job. this machine looks so stupid
Indesit = Shit! Watch my candy spinning & you`ll see it dont bounce around as much as this, plus mines 8 year old & it`s just starting to show the first signs of wear. Not bad for 8 years of heavy loads.
