  • man, I wish I could afford this lens. Excellent product.

  • does this work on a crop body?

  • @WookieeCookies yup it turns into a 27mm but you can use all the ts functions as on a full frame

  • LChiuy is right it takes time and effort to shoot architecture or anything with a tilt-shift lens. It is not a snapshot or grab shot type of optic. To use it properly you need to put it on a tripod and level the camera as the B&H guy showed. It also is manual focus, even though it is an EF type. And if it is like the earlier 24mm TS-E lens you need to measure exposure before you make any tilting or shifting movements. If you need it to correct distortion or focus plane it is worth the trouble.

  • too much effort to tilt and shift the lens. Sometime you just don't have the time.

  • Why cant you just move the camera?

  • You can tilt the camera to get all of a buiding in the frame, but it will be a distorted image if you are using a wide lens because of lack of space. The building appears to be falling over backwards.

If you have a shift lens you can keep the building walls upright and get rid of the empty space in front of the buiding.

  • @19971998mj You could just climb up the stairs of a building opposite to get into a better position but this is often not possible.

For the picture of the camera. You could move down but then you wouldn't see the controls at the top of the camera.

  • My bad luck.. I go to NYC just to visit B&H and it was closed.. until the 16th.. OH well.. I look forward to my next visit to NYC...
