I am inclined to disagree, I think that because of things like chivalry, some women tend to expect to be treated differently in a positive way, or to have things done/given to them. I'm not to fond of chivalry, but I can understand why people do it. When something isn't given or done for them, most tend to automatically go "sexual inequality!" instead of thinking about what is the problem.

Put females on the draftee list, as a woman in the military, I know that the system isn't 100% equal, but I can understand why it is like that in the military. I personally want to see it become more equal, and one of the ways is to have women eligibility to be drafted by the military, if such action was required by our government.

Unfortunately, they usually turn the other way if women have to give up a major viewpoint to achieve equality in an area for men. For small example, it's commonly known that women drop feminist viewpoints when it means they have to make a move or pay for themselves when dating. not a biggie, but hypocritical nonetheless.

Put females on the draftee list, as a woman in the military, I know that the system isn't 100% equal, but I can understand why it is like that in the military. I personally want to see it become more equal, and one of the ways is to have women eligibility to be drafted by the military, if such action was required by our government.

Unfortunately, they usually turn the other way if women have to give up a major viewpoint to achieve equality in an area for men. Society is currently growing out of an ancient, sexist mind-set and granting equality to women that was suppressed not too long ago. Be happy it ever got this far.
Sex slaves are not exclusively female, nor are sweatshops, and men are just as often trapped in their own home by abusive women.
Feminism is just an excuse to bitch about a single genders problems, which isn't equality at all.

If women are "equal" to men, why were they suppressed for so long? If they're smarter, why were they outsmarted for so long? It would seem to me that if you're going to say women are equal or "better" than men, you'd have to provide a justification for why it's always been women that've been suppressed, and not men. This isn't to say that women should be treated any worse or less, but let's be real. Let's take off the rose colored glasses and enter reality.

Men are often physically more capable as their bodies gain muscle mass more easily... they therefore controlled women and suppressed them. This control gave them the power to control money and gain better positions. We have progressed beyond the need for physicality in mainstream employment with machinery taking on many physical roles but men still run the show as they have the money and also the respect. Women have been proven to outperform men in certain roles (like junior execs)
