  • Oh thanks. I thought that the dog should hold point and not chase until released. Guess it means different things to different people.

    We define steady to wing as the dog holding point until the bird takes to wing. Most hunters prefer this type of training as it is easy to train and low maintenance in the field.

  • Great looking dog, sure miss the days when i trained my german shorthaired pointers. My only dog now is Hondo an akc german shorthair from...i forget need to go back to his papers. anyway my only hunter now and is in his fourth year of quail hunting or should i say soon will be.
