ok,,thanks 100% as soon as i got the cash i was probably going to do that but..thanks to your insight ill probably just spend my money on a new bumper!!!!and better looking..lol,so ill not grit my teeth everytime i winch ill just stand smiling..lol
ok,im not one to steal ideas but i have the same smitty built bumper as the green truck and am putting a winch on in the near future and was searching for mounting ideas and looks like he took out the upper bar and sat it on a 1/4 or 3/8 iron plate huh?simple probably would have done that myself,love the yotas man!!!
Dont do it. I ended up putting a new tube bumper on. I had 4 more frame mounts added onto my smitty bumper and every time I used the winch the bumper would flex and bend. Everyone I talked to told me not to put a winch on that bumper but I thought I could do it. I heard it will rip the whole core support off your rig. But ya I welded 4 mounts to the bumper and put a big steel plate on it for the winch. It worked but I was always a little scared using it. Now I have a Marlin Crawler bumper on it.
nice rigs.. i have an 84 4runner and i want to put a 7-8" suspension lift on it and a 3" body... do u know were i can get a 8" suspension lift with a 3" body.. i going to to put 38.5 boggers on it. do u have any tips?

the grey one is a 1983 toyota with a 6 inch lift on 35 inch BFG km's the green one in a a 1985 toyota with a 8 inch lift on 35 inch boggers
