That was one of my favrite dishes when I was young. But as far as I can remember the reason for the bigger meatballs the better was simplely because meat in those days was kind of luxury treat once in a while, so whenever had chance mum would make them as big as she can to satisfy our hungriness, but I am backing to 30 years ago. Now I am making the meatballs a lot smaller to control the total red meat intake for better healthy living. Things have been changed a lot. lol
every dish tastes the same because the same ingredients are present in every dish she tries her hand at -be it fish, chcken,c beef, veggies etc. etc. Absolutely no defining of what each dish is about -rather like the amateur Thai cooks who throw together lemongrass, lime, chilli and corriander -mix it with ice cream and hey Thai dish. Very poor representation of Chinese food and I wish the producers had more integrity to go more for the food than just to put a pretty face in front of a wok.
@fouraces1964 Every culture have their own "taste" in food. Youre right about the Thai part. But for americans,...salt and pepper? lol ...So bland. What are you gonna say about mexican food? Italian?
Dont hate. All these seasonings represent the dishes in where they come from, so when you do taste/eat it..you know what culture it came from. Plus, it's not about beauty...FYI she's not even that pretty, but the girl can cook, so go watch Paula Dean and Rachel Ray with their boring salt and pepper seasoning food. OH, dont forget the BUTTER. lots and lots. pshhhh
It would be nice for me to find an asain friend so we can share our culture living with one another. I must admit asain's do have some of the most healthiest cooking next to a vegeterian, it is demostrated that meat can be prepared in a healthy way.
Are you saying that my honesy Ching is from England? No wonder she has a different accent than the chinese girls in America. I never noticed that. I wish she come to America so we can go out. ;)
I believed her too Ching, i believed her but am i a lion?, no, am i even as strong as a lion?. We were lied too Ching!. I have recently however had more luck with this American dish 'pathetic facist meatballs' working a treat =)
Why did the camera man zoom in on everything? I can't see what she's doing...

Hers are not authentic Chinese foods. She reminds me of white people teaching Chinese food or Chinese people teaching Italian food.

Does anyone know how this might turn out with chicken or turkey instead? I can't eat red meat but this looks so delicious. :(

corn starch is the same as corn flour its just the english desciption differs than the american
iL0veMy 2 years ago

because i went grocery shopping and i couldn't find corn flour. so then i thought there's no such thing as corn flour lol
