This is a very beautiful song. I remember listening to this back in '99 after breaking up with my first...It was very painful to listen to at the time...But, now after 12 yrs later...I find myself searching for this song..cause I've been missing my wife and son so much the past week. I can't wait for them to be back next yr in Feb.

From what I understand Sydney is Gayla Peevey's daughter. Gayla recorded "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas" in the mid-50's at the age of 6 and went on to have a recording career under both her given name and the name Jamie Horton. I sang this song at my middle school talent show in 7th grade. I never thought I would see a blue moon. I realized the moon was brighter than usual during new years eve, then I found out that it was a blue moon during MTV's new years eve show. I feel so lucky to have witnessed it with my husband.
