I just watched the film on youtube and with that last scene missing it didn't make a lot of sense at all. She was going on about 'should we tell someone' and I was thinking tell em about what? Why cut such a small scene when it's kind of important to the plot?
At least the missing footage is available here to view, but really I couldn't care less that this filler is missing from the DVD.If there had been any missing gore or FX footage, then there would have been major issues with the DVD release.
Yes that last missing scene would definitely be noticeable and must be very annoying. One of the great things about DVD is the effort that goes into ensuring complete remastered prints are used - in most cases. But a few DVD releases I've seen/had, especially from Europe, are just transfers from (reasonably good quality) videotape.
eXcellent!...Thank you for giving us this info..i actually own 1 of the first editions of the film on VHS(1 of my little treasures), the 1 from HBO/CANNON Video, and it didn't include some of those scenes, to think i had seen it all, and i also downloaded the Italian,French,Spanish & German versions of the film, i dont recall some of that material, maybe i didnt pay much atention, but i'll compare ir ;p..after all it's 1 of my favorite films of all time xD
Sci-Fi horror pic, it would take too long to explain the somewhat messed up plot, however if you visit my site, listed in the description above, you can read the review for yourself!
I just find it a bit tardy on the part of the DVD companies that they couldn't be bothered to ensure they had a complete print. The last scene of them finding the front door has been forced produces a very noticeable jump cut in the DVD, which displaces their dialogue and affects continuity, as they suddenly go from the front garden to the inside of the house. For completists like myself I find these ommisions very annoying.

Dude, the soundtrack on this film sucked big time, I don't know what they were thinking.
The film would of done a lot better with a different score...

I heard there's an alternate ending but wasn't used due to the shoddy special effects, do you have the footage available perhaps?
GODCONVOYPRIME 4 years ago
Yes I have both versions, but I beleive both endings are available on YouTube.
