Gen. 5:4 -- And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters. If you say it's impossible to live that long consider that scholars say that life would have dramatically changed after the flood because of changed conditions on the earth. Also, the Bible does show a decrease in the lifespan of man after Noah.

@tallliza I could go on all day rebuttaling you.. however, I just want to tell you that there are a lot of other scriptures to reiterate the meaning of what was said "plain and simple" and at times you have to understand the context of the situation and the background.. and who was it being said to. When you go about taking bits and pieces of the bible and holding it up the way you think it is.. without even finding out the true meaning.. you will definitely get dejected.

3 years ago,i was in the penitentary...i joined a program called i.f.i.-a christian program.i moved onto the "christian wing"and studied the word of God everyday,and got to listen to gospel all day!this song was playing when i walked into the program...my life completely changed that day because my GOD IS GOOD!!!i was a pitiful mess and He saved me from darkness-God is real!!!!!! i love you LORD!!!!

Gen. 5:4 -- And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters. If you say it's impossible to live that long consider that scholars say that life would have dramatically changed after the flood because of changed conditions on the earth. Also, the Bible does show a decrease in the lifespan of man after Noah.

(in the very bible, god was making a whole city starve because of denying him. so Lord Satan went up to jesus and said to him that if he turned a whole boulder into bread, he would give him his own kingdom and all the riches he desired. jesus denied it and the people starved to death).

@crazyinsane500 that was in the Old Testament, when He punished people, but He says that He wont do that again. I'm sure that if those people didn't deserve to be punished that He will let them into Heaven. He created Lucifer as an ANGEL, who turned against Him. Then Eve sinned, and brought sin into the world, and we still live in it today, I'm sure God let this happen on purpose so He could see who actually loves Him no matter what happens to them. It's a test.

@bebe4235 God is Omnipotent and unchanging. So when he is a cruel, vindictive, petty, monster without the fear of hell to keep him from being one he will always be a curel, vindicitve, petty, monster. To say the least.
And if he is truly omnipotent, then he knew Satan would rebel (A rebel against a tyrant? Whoddathunkit?) against him, and that Eve would sin.
You know what's a better test to show your total devotion? Handle poisonous snakes. Because you'll be immune, according to mark 16.

@tallliza True, but you must understand some terms in the bible are metaphorical. But anyway, i agree with you that u should not drink poison.. "Do not put the LORD your God to the test" (Deuteronomy 6:16)
However, your saying of Jesus's promises are worthless, i do not agree.. first of all, you would be dead on earth whether he's saying the truth or not. If he's promises for heaven are not true.. well i still lead a good life. If he's promises are true.. even better.

@tallliza I could go on all day rebuttaling you.. however, I just want to tell you that there are a lot of other scriptures to reiterate the meaning of what was said "plain and simple" and at times you have to understand the context of the situation and the background.. and who was it being said to. When you go about taking bits and pieces of the bible and holding it up the way you think it is.. without even finding out the true meaning.. you will definitely get dejected.

@tallliza Nope, i dun decide it, i dun view it.. its called deduction.. simple and sweet as literature. Of course there are many different deductions therefore leading to extremists and people of your kind. Well.. the key is prayer.. in which i suspect you would scoff at. See for the bible to even work.. faith is needed and skeptism is the destroyer.

Do not stereotype all humans. It is saying that lying is what saves you, therefore it is good. So good luck, if you take what everyone says is a lie.
