you shouldve left the magnaflows on with the x-pipe....the x-pipe is what made it sound different...h-pipes are ok but flowmasters are trash

@01gt46 I do on my 99 Silverado. I had Flowmaster and Corsa before I put it on and I think it can't be beat. It may not be as loud as some but the tone is distinct and very deep.

@Harvey238 gotcha, well magnaflow is stainless steel with a lifetime warranty, the mufflers are polished like chrome and the complete catback (new) cost me $319 shipped to my door. That's a pretty hard deal to beat. Borla would cost probably twice that.

@01gt46 Yea, Borla costs a heck of a lot more and basically has a lifetime warranty. I guess the only difference is the sound and that's a personal preference. I'm not bashing your exhaust btw, sounds great bro.

@3bussey2010 nope, they are both Louisiana plates. I sold the car to a friend and he had to get a new plate for the car. The newer Louisiana plates are blue and have a different design.

@leonardbullhock thanks. about 1.5" in the rear and 1.75" front. The rear wheels are 17x10.5 w/ 315/35's and front are 17x9 w/ 275/40's

Real sweet sounding stang homie! I must say that I love the Flowmaster setup myself...never been a fan of Magna's. I have to admit I am rather impressed with the way your car sounds with the X Pipe. (I have always preferred H cus of the way it sounds) I am sure your cams have a lot to why your sound. All in all, your GT sounds freaking awesome!!!! I will be posting clips of my 07 GT shortly...hope you check them out and critic mine as well....be safe homie!

Flows and X all the way. I've heard almost every setup and it seems to me that Flowmasters and X pipe sound the best only behind Flowmasters and a off road pro chamber.

i think you have it backwards, Flowmasters have more of a vibrating sound and an H-pipe sounds better with it, whereas Magnaflow has more of a smooth rumble and the X-pipe has a smoother tone so it compliments the Magnaflow mufflers, i'd say throw the Mags back on with the x-pipe and you'll love it, a real clean toned sound i think Flowmasters sound better on old carbed motors, Mags for smooth newer motors like the Chevy LS series and Ford modulars

It would be interesting to see what the Flows sound like on the old H-pipe as well, seeing as they give an entirely different tone then the Magnaflows do. I still prefer the H-pipe sound to an X, I guess i'll sacrafice the 2-3 horsepower for the sound haha

Flowmasters sound much better don't they? :) If you have some money to throw around, you should try a ProChamber. It has a real mellow and deep sound. Check my vids back in a couple of weeks, I should have more than one video up. :)
