@muffletinkle A Perfect Circle is slightly Influenced by Tool (because Maynard is the singer for both bands), and since Billy is a main composer of A Perfect Circle's songs, there's similarities. So it all kind of ties together.

Nice video. But the main idea behind this song isn't actually antiwar. It is actually anti-religion. Maybe not religious beliefs but definitely organized religion.

If you listen to the song preceding "Sword" called "The Prey" it becomes much more obvious. (The Prey = The Pray) In an interview Billy said that both "Sword" and "The Prey" were about oppressive religious beliefs that can truly harm the world.

@Defecating APC isn't lost. You just have to realize that all of APC's members are HUGE musicians working on several seperate projects. For fuck's sake, Josh Freese alone is doing things with hundreds upon hundreds of bands. Billy Howerdel has AShes Divide. Maynard has Tool, his own Wine Vineyards, and Paz Lenchantan is also very popular for playing music with other bands. APC is still together, they just can't find the time to do EVERY band at once.

Actually, Billy did sing in a bit in APC. If i remember correctly, he was only the lead vocalist once (the reason I was excited for the release of this album). For some reason, it won't let me post the youtube link on here, but it's entitled "Peace, Love and Understanding" from their eMotive album. You can find the album version on youtube. Intense piece...his voice has an almost haunting quality.
