In NHL 10, I was able to draft Kovalchuck, Duchene, and Kane for my first line. I had Tavares for 3rd centre and Afinogenov for 4th line centre. I had Orpik, Edler, Doughty, and Boyle for defence. I traded Franzen, Seabrook, and Stamkos for Ovechkin. Even though I had 3 rookies, I eventually failed because of the salary cap.

I would like to see them start improving on the powerplay too they need to find a way to get goals form other places then the blueline so hope they improve that.
@jweich23 the powerplay was weak last year because too many left handed shots. Not sure what hand Martin is. if hes right that would help a bit. and im not sure about what kind of a shot mihalek has but if hes right handed and has a good shot that would help immensly. reguardless, this team is the best in the east next year imo. the biggest weakness last year was the D and thats improved. better than the caps thats forsure. they really havnt done anything to improve since last year.

But the defence is definately a step up from last year. The Redwings are staking up too so they are gonna be tough on the western side so we could see round 3 this season. The caps still got some good players though and had a good record last year so they are still a threat if they dont choke......

@shotty2222 Yeah I can see him getting fucked up sometime in his career everytime he does something bad the league just gives him a smack on the wrist and dont do anything about it. Yeah Martin and Michalek was a good pick up for the Pens its just weird not having Gonch on the team anymore I still liked when Sykora was on the Pens too. I would like to see them start improving on the powerplay too they need to find a way to get goals form other places then the blueline so hope they improve that.

@jweich23 the powerplay was weak last year because too many left handed shots. Not sure what hand Martin is. if hes right that would help a bit. and im not sure about what kind of a shot mihalek has but if hes right handed and has a good shot that would help immensly. reguardless, this team is the best in the east next year imo. the biggest weakness last year was the D and thats improved. better than the caps thats forsure. they really havnt done anything to improve since last year.

@shotty2222 Well they also didn't take alot of shots on the powerplay they did to much passing and faking shots and depending on making goals from the point and the goalies knew what was going on. But the defence is definately a step up from last year. The Redwings are staking up too so they are gonna be tough on the western side so we could see round 3 this season. The caps still got some good players though and had a good record last year so they are still a threat if they dont choke......

@jweich23 but thats a big IF for the caps lol. the strongest team in the west this year is vancouver imo. chicago took a big step back and vancouver took one forward adding malhotra and then ballard + hamhuis on the backend there going to be unbelievable this season. so if anyone i think the team the pens will most likely face will be them. and in the east the only team i see capable of taking down the pens is philly or boston just based on what philly did last season and bostons added horton

@shotty2222 Yeah I think the Caps will still be a top team in the regular season they just choke in the playoffs. I thought for sure it was gonna be them vs. the Pens in the 3rd round last season but I was shocked to see the way the playoffs went for both teams. Yeah Vancouver is gonna be hot next year I know the Pens wanted to sign Hamhuis and keep Gonch but it didn't work out. I dont know about Philly we always seem to upset them but they're getting better each year but Boston is a tough team.

@jweich23 the caps choke in large part because the hole team is 3/3rds russians and mike green is their best defensman who should really be a forward. the only reason his name is known is because he had a good shot. cause his defense sucks lol.. boston lost wideman on defense but added seguin (might play junior) and horton who are two beasts up front. its gonna be boston and pitts 1-2 in either order so pens wont have to worry bout facing them till the 3rd round. thre the only real threat imo

I don't think Ovechkin and Crosby are a great match. Ovechkin rushes in, Crosby sets people up or gets into position for the shot.
Crosby would be great with a shooter, like Stamkos. Hell, if you gave Crosby Martin St.Louis, they would make magic. Both of them know where to be to score and both know how to set each other up.

He is, without a doubt, the best player in the NHL. He's better than Ovechkin and Crosby. I would kill for the Flyers to have him as our top-line center. He's the type of the gamebreaker the Flyers are missing to put the over the top, offensively.

if u pause it at exactly 0:36 seconds, u will see his skate still on the blue line. he actually was well onsides. ive seen goals scored off passes like that where u swear Mario or Jagr or Sid was 3ft offsides but the linesmen are very generous. If ur close, u will get the benefit of the doubt....besides the game is so fast that by the time the camera picks up the action it looks like he was way offsides. But in reality his toe blade was hangin on by a shaving

In this situation you could say Brodeur and the D were "deked out of their pants", or given the "how's she goin'. " NOT that they are "yardsales." Whoever you heard say that is an idiot and you'd best to stop using it that way too.
