well its brown now and a lighter brown than before so its abetter base to work with.. i can see my highlights !! so im going to give my hair a rest and pull them back out slowly!!! i should have gone slow but its summer and i wanted it fast ...another lesson learned ... ;)))) thanks for the help you guys are great!!

i was a level 6 ... i did heavy highlights and then put a high lift toner like a level 9 which turned the rest of my hair red orange cause i couldn't leave it on too long cause of the highlights.. then it looked bad... so then i did highlights between my highlights to make it more blonde and get rid of the red orange that was there from my brown hair that was good i put a beige blonde toner on to tone down the red orange effect it helped ..but looked too washed out

Remember 1 thing no brunette can go blonde or even dark blonde without bleach thats thats a double process! Do what Lorraines hair stylist did stick to a natural blonde with lighter streaks so when the roots come out they won't be so drastic!

Purple to violet base hair dye covers unwanted yellow! Blue base hair color covers orange and brassiness. Green base hair colors covers unwanted red tones! They also sell purple based shampoos to combat brass!!! I know it sounds complicated but you have to figure out where you are in tone and what you need to cover and what shade to use to cover unwanted shades!

Basically the lighter your hair is the better result especially if your hair has not been dyed alot.The darker the hair the harder to go very light! If your hair comes out orange you have to cover that up with a color that covers brass or orange!

Figure out how dark of a brunette you are what level? 2 threw 4! Level 2 is almost black to level 4 medium brown to dark brown! That will determine how your blonde will come out not everyone can get really light but you may be able to go dark blonde! If your hair has been dyed alot or you have dyed your natural hair color black you will have alot of difficulty going light!

If i may i wanted to leave a comment to the people below asking about dying there hair from brunette to blonde! I graduated from cosmetology so i can tell you a bit about that! I myself am a natural brunette who went blonde all by myself!

Yeah... im an idiot i tried to do it in one day!! i did highlights and then i put a base color that turned my brown hair orange and then i did more highlights in between the other ones and put a toner which turned my hair this weird beige light blonde with orange trim fabulous!!! so i dyed itbrown again thanks for responding ...btw i used the chi shampoo and conditioner and its awesome!!

I made a stupid attempt this weekend to dye my hair blonde from brunette and i killed it soooo i went and purchased the chi shampoo and conditioner ... let's see if that helps!! i will let you know... one more question how did you go from brunette to blonde without turning orange and you explain what you did??? thanks <333

1. I stopped taking them... not because of anything, but I just don't ever remember to take them, hah.

I think because all the bad parts of my hair were cut off it is growing a lot more quickly.

2. I have not, I do use Chi Silk Infusion though!
