All today's stuff comes from China or Thailand and is shit!
I had a real-McCoy Japanese ,Casio watch from the 1980's, I bought it for $10 and it lasted for 10 years! Try & get something like that new today! A Kiwi mate of mine bought a Seiko watch in the 1980's and it's still going!
thank god for chinese crap....now microwaves are 100 bucks and when they breakdown after 3 months we throw them in the bin...no wonder the enviroment is fucked
$384 for a microwave in 1986 is crazy - that's the equivalent of $750 in today's dollars. For $100 you can get a microwave today that would blow that one away. No wonder why nobody had them here in Australia in the 80s. None of my friends had one anyway, and we didn't get one until 1990.
LOL my auntie had one of those National microwaves. When she got her new microwave, which was 10 times more powerful, she put her fish in for the usual cooking time, ten minutes. It was burnt to a crisp.
Good Australian & Japanese, Hong-Kong made stuff.

@mubd1234 That's how our micowave is. I burned some popcorn cooking it for 2 minutes and 40 seconds.
