History of the Godzilla Suits

They pretty much fucked up the godzilla suit after ghidrah the three-headed dragon until godzilla 1985 came along but alot of the films made between were quite enjoyable.

I grew up watching this guy in movie theaters when u could see it over and over again all day in the day. I like the 1992 and the 2001 suits.

If Toho makes another G movie it won't be until 2014 because they already stated that after Final Wars they won't make another movie starring Godzilla for 10 years. This gives them time to rethink the genre and how to reapproach it and reintroduce it to a new audience. If this is so, I just hope the world doesn't end next year.

I'll have to say the suits that I love have to be the 1968,1985,1984,1999,2001,2002, or 2004. Those are my favorite suits.

@mkvproductions unfortunately, legendary pictures will realize that not many american people want to see a rubber suit. it just is too cheesy to the average audience. i would like a rubber suit shown again too but the chances are very slim

I would prefer to see a mix of Suit/ CGI but as Brian Rogers said it will be CG. I think the rubber suits will be used again though in the japanese reboot.

1954/64/89/99/02 were probably the best ones they've constructed.

The 1965 Godzilla suit was also used as the water suit in "Son of Godzilla", "Destroy all Monsters" and it was famously sludged on by Hedorah in "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster". The 1967 Godzilla suit was used in "Godzilla vs. Gigan" as the water suit. Also, the 1989 Godzilla suit was only used twice, in 1989 and 1991. Similar suits were built for the films in 1992/1993 and again in 1994/1995 (Burning Godzilla was modified from the 94 suit).

HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK THE 89 SUIT WAS USED IN THE 90S????? Well it was used in GvKG, The GvD suit was the same as the 1994 suit, just ajusted a bit, and the 93 suit was a different suit. so basicly the 89 was used in GvB, and GvKG, 92 was used in G&M, 93 was used in GvMG II, and 94 was used in, well you know what I mean.

To me the best suits have to be the 68, 85, 90, 99 ,01, 02 and finally the best suit outta them all is the 04 Godzilla suits. The one from the final wars is the best cause it blends all the suits in one. Not so bulky so the actor can fight and still looks cool.

Did anyone knew that the 84 suit was tallest suit and heaviest before the GMK suit was created.I love those suit cause they are almost similar in style and meaning to their respected movie.Just some useless information I guess. My top 6 favorite suit have to be the original one,The one from Godzilla Vs. Gigan and the 90's one,Godzilla 84 the one from GMK monsters all out attack and the main one is the one from Final Wars cause that bring all the suits into one.Oh wait I mean top 7 I forgot the 2000's suit.

It's so weird godzilla 1965 resembles the cookie monster,godzilla 1968 resembles godzilla 1965,godzilla 1973 resembles a puppy,godzilla 1995 is godzilla 1989 glowing red,godzilla 2001 resembles a mix of godzilla 1954,1962,and a zombie,godzilla 2002 is godzilla 2000 with white spikes and blue breath,and godzilla 2004 resembles a mix of godzilla 1985,1989,and 2002.
