Not only is he an accomplished guitarist, he also plays the Sax, Steel Guitar, Mandolin, and as you can see and hear the clarinet. What an amazing talent, from Gypsy Jazz to touring with Elton John.
His enthusiasm playing alogside Davey Johnston in the concert at Madison Square Garden with Elton John was delightful.
"After You've Gone" is a 1918 popular song composed by Turner Layton, with lyrics written by Henry Creamer. It was recorded by Marion Harris on July 22, 1918 and released on Victor 18509.
Man, that is sweet! He plays that well on guitar, then when he whips the clarinet out you're just blown even further away! Brilliant! Thanks for posting!
Nice video! Old Desert Rose Band fan here even though I'm only 31. I was blown away when the JJQ came here and loved the clarinet playing. They're all on fire!
The Guitarist = Gonzalo Bergara, who now has his own quartet.
See the Djangofest NW website. They will both be there.

Not only is John one of the best guitar players, but he is also a fantastic clarinet player as well. The Quintet is a dream to watch.
