WTF are you ranting...?? A clean install of OSX (which doesn't include iWork, but does include the software you mention) is only 8GB. If you would delete the stuff you mention, you'd come at ~6.5 - 7 GB.
So before you post, do your homework correctly...!
On a mac what I don't need: iDVD, Adressbook, Automator, Chess, Dashboard, Dictionary (sereously?!), Front Row, iCal, iChat, iSync, iWeb, iWork, Stickies, Time Machine. Thats 15~GB off my 80GB Macbook Space.
On a Homebuilt Win 7 Ult pc What I don't need: XPS viewer, Windows fax and scan, Sticky Notes, sound recorder, Sync center, Connect to a Projector Netowork, Input math panel and some games. Thats 2~ GB of my 640GB PC HDD space.
