@skater24481 @froggyinthewater actually you need to beat every level as mario, beat every level as luigi, get all star medals and get golden flags in all levels. You don't need to get golden flags as both characters, just one.

your missing out its not a short game doing it 100% took me 40 hours all these videos on you tube are just speed runs so ya there going to be fast and keep in mind that you wont do all the levels the first time aruond without diying and getting all the stars without the help of you tube takes a while but its realy fun trust me this game is the best game out for the 3ds right now

@relentlessgod same here, i went through each level not moving onto the next one until i got all three medal coins (well on a lot of them i managed to get all three first time). I also managed to get the top of the flag first time on atleast 3/4 of the levels (without really trying as i didn't know at first about needing to do it as an extra bonus).

Beat this level last night with both brothers and no leaf/reserve item either time (wanted to challenge myself.) :P OMG! I didn't know about the yellow platform at the last bit there. Made all the jumping on the letters really nerve-wracking!

Didn't fall off them either time, though.

With the bob-omb section, you can stay in the upper left hand corner the entire time and not take a hit by the bob-ombs either. :)

I found the rotating fire/falling platforms part most difficult!

Try doing this without any power ups or items and then you will know how frustrating this level was supposed to be. I did and I lost about 100 lives with Mario AND about 100 lives with Luigi, depleting almost all the lives I earned in the game up to that point. I think the yellow platform at the end was what you were supposed to use, but I just completed it on the letters for a challenge and for fun and even though it is possible, the letters disappear fast and you have to move diagonally.

With the exception of the green panel part, I beat this level without using power ups. I could've done it if I knew about that yellow platform taking you to the end. Thanks for the tip. The funny thing is to complete the game, I think I used as many lives as you earned. And at 0:39, you can do that part as Mario without crouch jumping.

@krausertoss Yeah, the need to use Luigi kinda dampens things. But this level is fun! Playing this level for the first time, you'll be frustrated beyond belief but you will go on and on. It's (almost) worth going through everything as Luigi again.

If it helps, you don't need to recollect the star medals or the golden flags on your Luigi run, so you can challenge yourself by speed-running. ;)
