Yeah, basically. You can't ask a judge whether a person "should" or "should not" do something. That's what the LEGISLATORS are supposed to decide. The judge upholds the law.
If the state law says ____ weeks, then it's ____ weeks. A judge does not decide whether it SHOULD be _____ weeks.
Judges are supposed to be objective. This congressman is just trying to get her to speak about her personal values, which should have no bearing in a court setting.
