  • im canadian and i was pissed off they lost but i couldnt help but apreciate that goal never would have thought he would have shot

  • I got an idea lets play Canada at war? Sorry had too :)

  • honestly guys why r poeple bringing up the olympics we should be talking about the world juniors, like the fact before the 2010 tournament we won five straight :) or the fact that the tournament has been won by a north american team since 2004 and has kept russia outside looking in for quite some time. i hope it's another canada usa showdown, that would really be an amazing game to watch.

  • hockey doesn't get a lot of acknowledgement as a major sport here in the States, but i am a big time fan and i have got to say, nothing is better than the USA Canada international hockey rivalry. Always close great games and one team comes out victorious. Thumbs up if you agree that this is the best rivalry in all of sports.

  • How about the world junior tournament coming up in December in Buffalo?

This New Years the USA plays Canada as a rematch from the last gold medal

game! Can the USA defend their gold medals on home soil?

  • @Ishtfan USA and Canada are in different pods. The only time they'll see each other is if they both make it to the medal rounds.

  • @wschmrdr thank you. My comment preceeded the date the schedule was released.

    Happy Holidays

  • canada-us WJC games are the best ive ever seen in any level... canada-russia games are also sick but these top everything

  • might have been the best game ive ever seen

  • love the celly..

  • Allen sucks!!!!

  • The Americans had a great team, can't wait till Stepan and Kreider are wearing the broadway blue!

  • Go stepan, kreider and borque...let's go rangers

  • two greatest countries compeitive against one another.

  • @blackhawksfan9000 it's the only way it should be if the states and russians never challeneged us (canada ) it would be boring and less thrilling.

  • Another classic game between these two nations at the WJC. As a Canadian it was tough to lose, but the US deserved the gold just as much as anyone else. My hats off to them. Should be an exciting tournament this year. Hopefully the US/CAN game can live up to years past.

  • Why is everyone bitching each time they see a winner between Canada and USA. Who cares??? I myself also think that Canada is better in hockey than USA (way more Canadian players in the NHL) but I have to admit that USA are getting better and better. Even though I'm a Canadian, Zach Parise is my favorite player and I respect USA for that (even though Parise's father was a Canadian! hehehe). But really, both teams are good enough to not being able to argue about which of them is better.

  • 3:52 Canada pushed us. Cheating bastards...

  • when it comes to olympic medals in mens hockey canada has 14 to the us's 11. wow you have three more medals then us. wow.and before someone comes on here saying "yeah but we have the most gold medals in ice hockey", realize that 6 of the 8 gold medals canada has won in mens hockey came before 1950, in a time period when they were the only country truely playing it. If those 6 medals were gone than canada and us would have the exact same amount of golds 2 apiece.

  • This is one of the best game i've ever watched

  • No disrespect to Eberle, but I don't see how Stepan doesn't get Tournament MVP

  • @pschoe2k8 because eberle single handedly gave canada a chance in two consecutive games. first tying the game against russia and then forcing overtime against the US with two goals in less than 3 minutes. and now he is re-united with Hall in Edmonton, wow, going to be a good year for those two.

  • @pschoe2k8

haha, ur funny, eberle is way better.

  • @pschoe2k8 because eberle came through in the clutch even though we lost he still single handly gave us another life in the gold medal game.

  • What a great junior game. Why is everyone talking about the olympics, if you wanna talk about the olympics, then go to a video about it. What a battle by the canucks, definitely worthy opponents. The funniest goal i have ever seen was stepan's.

  • @mmluver89 i say now the americans r becoming out #1 rival, its awesome i cant wait for 2011 world juniors to start i say can/us r for sure 1-2 in favourties to win the tournament

  • simply one of the best hockey games i have ever seen, sucks that we lost but hard to be disappointed with a game like that

  • fuck yea usa fuck yeaaaaa i luv it even thought sabres signed luke adam im happy with tht

  • Ah, too bad this one got away from us; we were so close to having a record streak of 6 golds in a row. And it would've been cool to have won this, the Olympics, and have a chance at getting the WC too. On the bright side, Jordan Eberle is a fuckin' beast, and I can't wait to see him play internationally for Canada in the future.

  • @lovelylass13 it would of been nice to have the record but now we start all over again, and start's in buffalo oh ya baby i cant wait, boxing day is not coming fast enough.

  • too bad we didnt win this along with the olympics :( at least shroeder did good to show for the canucks!

  • hmmmm even Olympic Gold doesnt quite fill this hole

  • as for THIS Game (World juniors), it was a great game to watch. Tournaments usually come down to goal tending, and this year Canada just didn't have that... At all. We pretty much GAVE the US the game. Still a great one to watch.

  • I wish people cared more about hockey in the USA to actually TELEVISE this game where I live. I missed a piece of history....

  • In Canadian soil baby !

  • USA 5 - 3 Canada ! ! !

Once again USA can play hockey

  • USA silver!!!! USA can play hockey?? CANADA GOLD BABY!!!!!!!

  • @molonlave2010 HAHAHA

  • I'm american and just like micashergan, i was jumpin in my boston living room watching all of these nasty snipes. i love this game just as much as anyone. this couldnt have had a better ending. i hate habs fans. they boo the american anthem

  • That game was epic and just the perfect ending to a torunament.

  • I'm an American who lives in Calgary. That was one the best games I have ever seen! Even topping the classic they played on New Years Eve. It's too bad more Americans do not enjoy this great tournament and this great sport. Hopefully the Olympics will be half this good.

  • @micashergan you can bet i was jumping around my boston living room screaming at the top of my lungs haha

  • USA USA USA. I can't wait for the Olympics. I like Langenbrunner as the Captain. Though, I question Burke on not having T.J Oshie or Zach Bogosian on the team.

  • A heartbreaker for Canada but all streaks must come to an end. Congrats to the USA for their second gold medal. The funny thing is that most Americans don't know that this happened.

  • I'm Greek and I follow US hockey :p

  • I could care less

  • @ominus011 The saying is actually "I couldn't care less". I could care less means that you do care. Think about it, dumbass, before you make smartass comments.

  • Well my smart ass comment to him would be that Canada has won gold in hockey beating the USA again!! So I have the last laugh. Thanks for the edit, fucker.

  • @ominus011 Damn, good job by Canada. Your team that consisted of Sidney Crosby, Ryan Getzlaf, Jarome Iginla, Joe Thornton, Rick Nash, Dany Heatley, Chris Pronger, Patrick Marleau, and with maybe the best goaltender in the world on the bench, barely squeaked out a one goal win in overtime after nearly giving away the game to a team with a third the talent.

So, congrats. Good to see Canada can actually do something barely better than the US.

Oh wait - didn't the US have more metals? Damn.

  • Don't be angry that Canada won the gold. Also, US did have more medals (notice, medals, not metals), however the only standing that counts (As in ANY olympic in the past what, 100 years? random number), is the GOLD MEDAL count. And Canada owned that one. That's the only one that matters. Both teams evenly matched. Having the "best" players on a team means they find a way to get it done and win. Canada did that. Doesn't matter how, or what road the team took, they did it and you didn't.

  • Yes congrats to the US for getting the most medals. That is to say the most silver and bronze medals.

Oh wait-- didn't Canada have the most GOLD medals? Goddamn we did too! And it's spelled "medals" not "metals".

To quote you: "think about it, dumbass".

  • You sound like sore loser. Yes you're right, in a one game showdown (as opposed to a 7 game series) the USA managed to make it close because their tender played lights out. By the way it's meDals not meTals (learn to spell) and yes we did win the most gold thanks for reminding us, YANKEE!!!

  • @dandaman22585 not gold. You guys only have 300 million more people than us. So congrats for almost beating us

  • @dandaman22585 That's what I thought.

  • GOLD!!!!! CANADA!!!!

  • @ominus011 the funny part is that most of us Americans don't know that Canada exists.

  • @parcsalooc I don't see relevance of that comment to anything. And we are well aware of the fact that Americans know nothing about Canada. There's a program of a Canadian comedian going to the US poking fun of that fact and making you guys look extremely retarded.

  • @ominus011 also must of the canadian comic's punchline is the fact that states r arrogant and self absorbed

  • @joeyjoeyjoey12345 You misspelled "most". And two months later what's your point exactly?

  • @ominus011 The hockey fans do.

  • @ominus011

Well that was the definition of a back-handed compliment lol.
