  • Asus is usually not shy about telling the world what they have coming, so the fact they're denying these rumors and pretty much acting clueless as to what it's about is a probable sign we won't see a 10" screen Asus Eee PC anytime soon.

  • Welll looks like this isn't really accurate for those who dont look at the time of comments posted, but they have now Announced the new Eee PC 10inch screen with more ram and more about anything, its due to middle 2008.

you guys can wait but i dont think i will, cause anyways when they will release the new one, well I THINK! we will all have enough money to buy a new one... ^^

  • im considering on getting the Eee PC, is it seriously true its coming out with more features soon and 10" display? i may feel upset when it does come out but i guess for 299Euros (webcam), for school, typing, wireless access and a lil bit of entertainment, i guess its great.. or? I mean i doubt i need a large screen for portable use coz i want longer battery, and use only for typing..?

  • asus announced some new asus eeepc versions: with 8 and 8.9" so there won't be a 10" screen very soon

asus announced the new versions for about april or as I guess May

  • there r two people in the end says that the speakers are better than they thought.

  • Ok! who think 10" isnt real. google show me some site say yes and no, what you think?

  • the 4gb is a beta design, the screen part for 10 inch is scarce, so the 7inch take the place for the first edition. End of the year, there will be 8gb version with 10 inches.

I wont buy this now, w8 for the 10inch version!

  • Asus just denied those rumors :/ i was thinking the exact same thing too. either they are being sneaky because they've realized that it will hurt the sales of the current Eee PC or they're just not making one.

  • yeah, It was all denied, you will wait for ever...

  • ha ha, if not forever, at least until they feel the current model needs an upgrade.

i'm still going to wait though, it lacks a few important things (bluetooth, SSD space, better resolution)

  • all of that costs more money and the Asus Eee is supposed to be cheap and just what you need in an ultra- portable laptop.

  • A little bit of lag as I can see from the video (or maybe it was filmed wrong or something), but it isn't annoying for me.

  • looks like a good movie as well!

  • I don't think it's that surprising at all. Running Xvideo with 900 Mhz and an up to date graphics chip... shouldn't be a problem. After all, the machine only has to handle a display with a 800 x 480 resolution. I don't think the EEE would struggle playing ANY kind of video.

  • I wouldn't be so sure, I doubt you'll be enjoying H.264 video on it any time soon.

Not that I'm complaining, though, the EEE looks like an awesome little piece of kit, even if Asus was a bit of an asswipe as regards pricing.

  • No kidding. If it was about $150 or so, then I would be all over it.
