@mountedantman it's a mortar, a howitzer has long barrel, adjustable elevation from high to low, a mortar is high angle firing with short barrel, which this is.

@flamedrag18 dunno about that, but in Age of Empires 3, you could upgrade mortars to horowitzers and they look similar. But thats just Ensemble Studios.
