  • Do you use any software ore picture is as straight from camera?

    Looks very nice.

  • Check out my videos too see what this camera looks like in lots of different situations. I do mostly comedy and pranks videos.

  • wow this camera looks great! is the audio good? the quality is just what im looking for but im also looking for good sound.

  • @KTJoyProductions I haven't had any complaints about the audio. In this video, the only audio I added was the music and birds. The rain is real.

  • @KTJoyProductions I own this camera and the video is very, very good for it's price range. The audio is another matter. If you are filming a family gathering or some other such similar event, it is fine. However, don't EVEN think about using it for filming a live band or any loud music or event. UTTER distortion that is completely un-listenable.i.e. white noise. Of course a way around this problem is to buy a Zoom H2 or H4 recorder, record with that, and sync the sound in editing.

  • im not sure whether to get this camcorder cause i scare it will be obselete since it was release long time...

  • @MrXamenyap There are newer versions. The next model I sold in my store recorded at 1080P and had mini HDMI output.

  • i think you just sold me on this camera

  • This is by FAR my favorite "pocket" HD camera. Best price too.

So far I've gone through and tested the Zi8, Zi10 (Playtouch), Flip, and a few others and this model Xacti always outperforms all of them. Its crazy.

  • does this have autofocus?

  • @StayBeautifulx0 yea and manual

  • So pretty..! [:

  • K, hold on, i have the exact same camera. Go on my youtube, check out my HD test for this thing, its on 720p hd, full resoloution everythinmg, and still doesnt loo kas sexy as yours!

  • Thanks for posting this. I was looking for a budget HD camcorder, and these shots look amazing (although not extremely sharp) for the current pricepoint of $124 at amazon.com!

  • @UbiquitousGeek Hello :) thanks for uploading! This camera looks excellent but I'm just wondering if it has auto focus and if it has a quick reaction time? So if I am filming something and then put it really close to the camera will it adjust really quickly or will you need to wave your hand in front of it so it realises? lol Some cameras are really bad with that

  • how many minutes of HD video can you record with a 32 gb sd card?

  • great footage what did you have you setting on? iso etc..

  • WOW. im impressed. It looks outstanding for the price .

  • can it take 720p 60 frames per second?

  • your cam going to be like fishtank

  • spectacular shots. The microphone in this camera sounds quite immersive. do you have other cameras? how does it compare in the mic department?

  • can you put that thing on a tripod?

  • @pascallity yep.

  • Nice video, I made a video test over this yesterday. Check it out.

  • hey i just got this camera and i have had nothing but problems i dont know wether its just me but once i have uploaded the footage on my computer when i watch the video the quality is like the quality on a iphone not good at all i wanted it to film some skateboard footy its good on the camera as i upload it to my docs or to facebook its unbelievebly crap quality any help or suggestions Thanks:)

  • @TheDylanSmart If it's dropping frames, your computer just isn't powerful enough to handle HD video. Use VGA resolution if you're having that problem, or buy a new computer or better graphics card.

  • @UbiquitousGeek

Could be the class of the memory card too, for the 1080 hd video it would be need it a class 10 i think as it writes at more than 16Mbps and the full hd os these cam is enconded at 16Mbps

  • @lepetitbounou iMovie '08 on a Macintosh

  • How good is the sound on the camera? I'm gonna use it for doing acoustic guitar covers with singing :) Do you think it will sound good? Do the mic "roar" when you sing/play loudly? I'm gonna be using a tripod so nvm the image stab.

    Thanks :)

  • @markusblomstrand92 It seems to sound pretty decent to me. You can always record your audio separately and sync it to your video with software later.

  • I have the Sanyo Xacti vpc-cg20 I also wished that it had a aux mic but for the money this cam is the bomb. View some of my video using it.

  • @elbacooks4u Record audio separately and sync it later.

  • @lepetitbounou he said iMovie

  • I bought exactly this camera. I have to say that i have no complaints what so ever.

For being a (around) 130 Dollar or so.

It's my first real camera ever.

  • I have this camera and when i put hd footage on the computer from an sd card the footage lags a lot, whatshould i do?

  • @kingjoeg You may need an SD card with a higher class (speed) rating. Keep in mind that Japanese brands (Kingston) are usually faster.

  • Well, I was thinking of getting this camcorder, but it doesn't look like the video is as crisp as many are....

    /watch?v=QyrH2A2R7go&feature=related(Please watch this one...)

This video seems very blurry for the Sanyo... Is that the normal video quality or what? Please let me know if you think it is worth getting right now, or if you have any other suggestions... Thanks!

  • @ctophman The first clip isn't raw, it's stabilized with iMovie, so it's a little fuzzy because you lose pixels in stabilization. The other clips are raw.

  • does this camcorder have night vision for recording in the dark?

  • Nice footage, you can really tell the difference between 360p and 720p

  • What would be the best sdhc card for this camera that doesnt glitch the videos?

  • @ckentertainment10 Japanese brands, like Kingston. Anything with a high class rating will do. I've noticed that Sandisk 4GB cards are rated at Class 4, while their 8GB cards are rated Class 2. I use an 8GB card from Gigaware (RadioShack's private label, made by Sandisk) with absolutely no trouble. A lot of times, glitchy video is caused by lack of graphics power on your machine or just using bad software. Try VLC for playback.

  • Hey, I'm looking for a good HD camcorder. Would you recommend this camera? Excellent footage, by the way.

  • @SmadaLeinad Of course, I love it.

  • I was wondering what track that was. Awesome shots by the way.

    Aloha

  • @merler19 It's a song by Buckethead. I don't know the name off hand.

  • @UbiquitousGeek is it normal that it captures pictures really slow? i mean a sudden move will make the picture so blurry. help pls

  • Wow. That's actually fairly impressive for a $130 camera. Shame it doesn't have auxiliary mic input. I'm still probably going to purchase it, it looks well worth the price.

  • @DudeWheresMyMind To be honest, the built-in stereo mic has pretty decent sound.

  • @DudeWheresMyMind It doesnt? I thought I remembereed it did...or maybe its another model x-x

  • I'm going to either buy this camcorder or the flip UltraHD. Which do you recommend? I like to video-blog and do a lot of green screen work.

  • @greenscreeningthings the kodak zi8

  • Hi There i have a little problem :D i dont know which cam i should buy

Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 or the Aiptek ahd 200

I know there are better cams but this two are cheap so which one should i pick ?

  • stunning footage.. i just received my vpc-cg10 and i'd die to be able to get so good looking videos lol

  • Nice choice of music, a well made little video!

  • how does this compare to zi6?

  • Some things were great quality, others... not so much.

  • where can i get this music

  • does it have autofocus???

  • i think im gonna get it. Only £110 on amazon

  • @musiecs go do it. i just bought it as well, in white, and i'm already amazed.

  • thanks i ordered it its gonna come this weekend

  • This is amazing, thanks for the great test!

What format does this camera record in? Does it need any format conversion to watch in Windows Media Player or to edit in Windows Movie Maker?

    Thanks

  • what's the aspect ratio

  • what is this amazing music??

  • @archiehc It's some Asian style music included with the iLife suite for use as background music. It's royalty free.

  • good natural shots!

  • @upurhoe12321 Thanks!

  • Thanks, i have been looking for a low price camera with good quality, and i think i just found it. Do u like iMovie?

  • @skibum654 Love it.

  • One problem between me deciding on this camera is the zoom. The Ki8 is better image quality but has no proper zoom like this samsung. So the samsung wins for me, even if not full HD or as good quality, but the problem with the Samsung si it has no HDMI so how can i play my videos on my HD tv as there is no way to do so, unless someone has a media box or blueray burner to burn edited movies to disc.....I haven't so my HD viudeos would be stuck on the PC ! :(

  • Kodak Ki8 would be the winner for me, but has no zoom, and for £40 may aswell get the Kodak ZX1 which is a bargain, and also has no real zoom but can be connected to the Tv ! I would then wait for the next Samsung which comes out with improvments and HDMI connection which should have been included... your thoughts ?

  • Great video. I'm hesitating between buying this cam and Hitachi DZHV1074 - same price, same optical zoom, etc.; I'm likely going to take my pick based on stills capability.

cnet bashed the hell out of the Xacti in the stills dept (And I have no clue about the Hitachi's), amongst 10 MP cams. I was wondering what's your experience with the Xacti's stills?

    thanks.

  • @IcarusLanding Stills are great outdoors, but indoors, as with most video cameras, it's not so great. As I keep stressing with everyone, good lighting is important.

  • @UbiquitousGeek

what's better this Samsung, or the new Toshiba Camilio S20 or

the Kodak Ki8 ??? The Kodak zx1 is now selling for £40 in currys !!!

    that's worth it as it's a bargain !

  • @IcarusLanding I just bought this camcorder, and i'm amazed..

  • does it work with gorillapod? if not were can i get a tripod??

  • It works with any standard tripod. I used one of those bendy tripods for this video.

  • i realllllly need to know, does this camera have amicrophone output/jack?

    Thanks

  • Not that I'm aware of, unless there's some sort of USB adapter for it.

  • Come to think of it I almost dont think this is recorded with the xacit either, unless your a pro camera man...

  • @LilKyrouac I wouldn't say that I'm a pro, but I do know how to use my camera and, sometimes, I do know a good shot when I see one. The rest of the credit goes to Apple for giving me excellent tools to mold what I capture.

  • I cannot believe that this video was recorder with SAnyo xacti cg 10. No way this camera has this quality. I think it was a different camera...and someody paid you to write that the camera is actually Sanyo xacti....this way they can sell their products. So...tell us, what is the real name of the camera ? Canon Vixia HF20 ?

  • @Collin2377 Bwahahahahahaha!!! Sanyo should be paying me, but alas, they are not, and this video is quite real. Sanyo, believe it or not, actually makes some really nice products. I have customers that swear by their Sanyo Katanas. Go ask TokyoCooney how he feels about his Xacti. They are excellent camcorders, but like any camera, it takes a some skill, and a little luck, to get great results. The tool is only as good as the person using it.

  • @UbiquitousGeek can you give me an idea of the other settings that need to be fixed in order to get the macro to work at its best and what should I set them at? I too am not seeing the best potential of the close ups and would like to see the results you are getting.

  • @34sunbun I can't honestly tell you what settings were used in this footage. Direct sunlight makes a big difference. I did use manual focus.

  • marco mode xd

  • I as well am wondering what video editing software you use. I have this camera and am having issues finding a user friendly software for this file format. What do you use?

  • @musictransistor You need software that is compatible with AVCHD camcorders. Windows software is behind the times when it comes to HD video. H.264 is the standard for good HD camcorders. I use Quicktime Pro, iMovie '09 and Final Cut Express.

  • Thanks so much.

  • It makes a HUGE difference if you are outside, if your not, quality may not be that good, if you want to see what the SUPER MACRO setting is, go to my video, THE CREATURE IN DRIVERS ED, and check out my other videos while your there.

  • EVERYBODY...ive figured out perfect qualtiy for my sanyo: Video Settings: 1280x720 Video Stabilizer: On Focus: Standard, for close ups where the background blurs: Super Macro (very nice quality) Focus Mode: 9-PT Autofocus EXP Measure: Multi Exposure: 50 (depends on where you are) White Balance: AWB, or Auto Exposure: Programm Face Chaser: On High Sensitivity: On Digital Zoom: Off This is exactly what i have set on, my recent skate videos have awsome qualtiy, (not winter skate session)2ndComment
  • can you tell me the settings you use to get the quality so great?

  • Was this recorded in Marco mode?

  • mine has horrible quality im selling it for 140

  • 100

  • @awesomesam27yobrotha You mean, "I suck at life and I'm giving up." Thats what I heard, anyways. Kudos to whoever gets a good deal on your camera.

  • thats amazing how did u get the picture that clear, mine only records like a little starter camera...

  • @LilKyrouac: Same here, please response!

  • @joebandoe Good light! You can't get this kind of clarity indoors.

  • I've never asked you....when you press REC...does your camera have the time and date printed on the movie or...whatever you record ? Thanks.

  • Love the camera already ;-)

  • Is this video edited on Sony Vegas? Also does this camera have image stabiliser? Ive notice alot of HD camcorders get very shaky when moving.

  • @BoredWardy No, it's edited in iMovie '09 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Yes, digital stabilization. I use the stabilization in iMovie.

  • @UbiquitousGeek nice!

  • awesome what settings were you using mostly? like avarage on this video test? it was great footage

  • Has this camera got a real flash for still images or is it an LED flash like on most mobile phones? :)

    Nice video btw!

  • @Gatecra5her

    It's a real flash.

  • its not a phone

  • beefsoup555 - you misread my question. My reference to mobile phones was with respect to their flash, clearly this is not a mobile phone :)

  • I bought mine and the video quality is horrible. when taking a video, the video looks scratchy. are they like this or is mine messed up?

  • It shouldn't be. Did you get this model? It's not going to look fantastic if you're recording in poor lighting.

  • Yea i got this same model and i am using it indoors so i dont know ill try it tomorow outside. but its in pretty good ligthing so i dont know

  • lower the iso. you can only do this in good light though

  • hai :)

hope you've had a good Christmas!

does this work with Windows Movie Maker?!

  • I don't know, I don't use Windows.

  • How do you put it in HD mode?

  • You change the resolution in the menu.

  • But why does it look so fuzzy and scratchy when I record?

  • Poor lighting?

  • Does the video come out better when you put it on the computer?

  • Does the fuzzy thing go away?

  • @SevenFlags123 You have to play with the exposure and ISO settings. In poor lighting, you will have a hard time, this is true with all cameras. If you want to get a clear picture, turn on as many lights as possible, or film in direct sunlight.

  • Oh is there a light that you can get for your camera when you record in low light?

  • yes it is better in the pc, youtube lowers the resolution also makes the videos choppy, but the real videos by CG10 are amazing and supersmooth

  • But YouTube can upload in 1080p now.

  • trust me a real 1080p and 720p is not the same as youtube's video. Youtube lowers the resolution. I have uploaded myself 720p videos and youtube made them really lesses quality. The real videos are amazing and smooth no choppiness from my cg10

  • can the cg10 use manual focusing?

  • @MetalUkulele Yes.

  • yes it can, you can customize to one of the unused buttons, its a complete camcorder just less pricey

  • how good is it for sound recording? i'd like to get one of these to take videos of my band, hope someone answers, thank you

  • pretty good sound its not the best but its not bad

the recording is amazing quality i just got it, i think you should get it

  • Mine does pretty good for live audio.

  • amazing camera glad i got one

  • how much for the video cam?

  • 150 on amazon or 200 at apple

  • About $300 tax included I think...

  • No, it's MSRP in the U.S.A. is $199.99.

  • RadioShack just had it for $129 on a one-day sale.

  • Hey quick question. I just brought a Sanyo Xacti CG10 HD the other week. But I was wonder what movie editor are you using?? and my videos have the black bars on the side how do I get rid of them and make it full widescreen, do you know?>?... thanks for your help.

  • it says iMovie.

  • amazing footage. sold me on the video capabilities of this camera. Thank you!

  • Gorgeous footage, is that your backyard?

  • I actually took the footage from the safety of my front porch. The footage is of the flower garden surrounding my porch.

  • can you tell me where you got your tripod and what model it is thanks message me on my profile thanks

  • I was using one of those bendable Targus tripods.

  • wowowo

  • this is beautiful. i'm excited for christmas so i can finally have my camera.

  • Ahhh, same here!

  • high, i've had the flip ultra hd for a few months and while i was impressed by the video quality, the cam broke down 3 times! tired of flip. looking to get a new camcorder and im wondering bout this one. but need more real info, like how long have u had it and has there been any troubles? how is it in low light cus the flip ultra hd didnt do so well, also, was the footage easy to transport to ur computr and into an editing progrm without the need to convert?any info u have will be helpful.tanks

  • yeah... the footage from many cameras have many problems... like after you published the video... the footages from your camera(raw and not converted) lags and have imbalance FPS.... and I have learn that lesson the hard way.....

anyways... is the camera of Sony good??

Cause I'm using a digital Camera...

  • My father just bought my mother a Sony camcorder for Christmas, for $250. My $199 Xacti makes it look like a baby's toy in regards to image quality.

  • I've had it for seven months now and I'm still in love with it. I haven't had any problems yet. No camcorder is going to do very well in low light. You've always got to have decent lighting. Yes, the footage is easy to transfer to my computer and I didn't have to convert the footage to edit it. Then again, I'm using a Macintosh. I use iMovie '09.

  • That's fucking AMAZING What kind of settings you have on there like shutter speed ISO aperture etc because that looks GREAT

I just bought the camera and the color in my video's isn't as good as yours.

  • I have no idea what my settings were. I did play around with them, though.

  • hey how do i hook it up to my PC? i have a desktop and windows vista ultimate 64 bit.. D:

  • With the supplied USB cable or an SD card reader.

(I feel bad for you. Windows blows.)

  • does anyone know how this would do with skateboarding?

Skateboarding is fast and with some cameras, it makes it pretty blured, would this be a good camera for skateboarding?

  • yeah, that makes two of us that need help there.

  • no:) it blurs

  • works freaking great man i highly suggest u get it especially for skateboarding

  • yeah, I got it on black friday. Can't use it till christmas though, haha.

  • WOW superb images. one of the best i have seen. =)

  • Would you recommend paying an extra $100, for the waterproof version of this?

    The Sanyo Xacti vpc-cg10?

  • If that's what you need, sure. It does make the camera a little more bulky.

  • I thinking of buying this camera before I saw this, but now I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE IT.

  • I just bought this camera and my video is not this crisp can you tell me why?

  • Use a tripod and learn how to use the optimal settings for your shooting conditions. Good photography (video and stills) isn't just about the quality of the hardware. It takes a little skill and knowledge, as well. Don't give up, just read the manual. Trial and error, my friend.

  • is the sanyo xacti vpc-cg10 the same as the sanyo vpc-cg10?

if not, is the xacti more expensive?

    thanks!

  • It's the same.

  • this or ultraHD?

  • is the the Sanyo - Xacti CG10the same as the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10

  • Yes. That's the full model number.

  • is it auto focus? or fixed ?

  • It has auto focus, but I can't remember if I was using auto or manual in this footage.

  • is it just me or does it look a bit unfocused..the depth of field feels non existent..it's not terrible but..there's no sharpness.
