  • I use my capo to trap mice. Works better than my cat tbh.

  • i thought it was a cape.........So i hooked it to the back of my shirt, and not only did i not fly..... i couldnt walk it was to heavy :( help

    ? lol

  • I'd hate to see what goes on in Novice Village if this guy is supposed to be an expert.

  • Idiots

  • Actually, you don't center the Capo in the fret at all. You place the Capo against the fret wire to eliminate the chance of fret buzz.

  • so not o it just before it?? sorry newbie here.. any help apprciated. thanks.

also any recommendations on a decent capo?

  • can you show how to fix fret buzz on a nylon guitar. tnx

  • These videos are so brief they are nearly useless. If you know enough to type capo in the search you know more than this. This channel proves its worthlessness everytime I watch a video from it.

  • cmon man they doing it for free bro, what you expect?

  • That was actually, unfortunately, rather crap. There's so much more to a capo than that, and it didn't really explain anything.

  • I've always pronounced it cap-o and my friends have just laughed and said it was pronounced cape-o. I just say that they're dumbasses and need to learn to read.

  • very helpful. thanks for this helpful video.

  • i've always said "kay-poh"

  • hmm thats wierd I'm American and I say Cap-o

  • @Minireb123 think it just depends on what ya pick up first! doesnt realy matter i suppose what people call it his video is crap!!

  • Oh, that's how you use a capo? I had just been wearing mine on my penis as I played to transpose the tuning. That clarifies everything.

  • /agree

  • haha lmao

  • LOL

  • lol

  • @NathaNRiveraMelo Dude i laughed hard at yer comment

  • I think it's just Americans who pronounce it like cape-oh! I know Irish, British and Aussies all say cap-oh.

Plus it's better to place the capo right up close to the actual metal fret, not in the middle between two frets. You'll get less buzzing this way =)

  • I thought it was pronounced Cap-Oh no Cape-Oh. Meh cant really argue, the vid is from Expert Village lol

  • wierd

    ...

was looking for a video on putting a capo on my guitar....

I find this video of a guy putting a capo..

    on my guitar!

That looks just like MY Washburn "Miss Kitty Fantastico"!

  • haha, i have that old "strap on" capo, i need one of these ones

  • i dont get it..

theres this song, and it says capo on the 3 fret, so i put it there, but u have to play G a lot and g is played on the 3 fret, and the apo is in the way. i ont get it..

  • where the capo is is fret zero

  • when playing with capo the chords are held relative to it.

  • shoot mate!

ive been pronouncing it as caapo....

  • lol me too!

  • wow extremely helpful ...

i couldn't have figured it out myself !

wow professional teacher you enlighted me! Thank you!

Pf... and u call that a lesson? what did we in fact learn? hmm .. to sqeeze a capo and badly place it on the neck of the guitar. Can there be any worse guitar lesson?

Anyway congrats. for me this is a new record!

  • thanks for this helpful video. I'm going to buy a capo this week for my acoustic and I appreciate the video.

  • you must not know much about guitar and all the different types of music.

  • certainly I may not.- but it's not impossible to actually play the chord.. come on.. barre is not impossible.

  • yeah but barre chords don't ring as much

  • good point dude. you shut my mouth :)

  • The main reason behind a capo is so you can use alternate tuning. Example Capo on 3 fret would make the E string a G, A string a C, etc. There are endless possibilities of sound, more than just ring more. You play in a different key when using a capo on open strings when using the same finger positions and not only used with chords. You need to learn guitar dude!

  • I'm actually learning, but here capo is a swear word. (not just students but established musicians) I know the "endless possibilities of sound" but in the end it does the same as the "transpose" button in my keyboard.

  • You are right. You can transpose music with it, thats why it's so great.

  • yup :)

  • Well I personally don't use a capo all that much right now besides one song. Some songs you can't play without a capo if you want play it in the right key. If I were you I won't dismiss it. The people that think capo's are for emo's, they are just crack heads and really don't know much about music. I'am thinking they are some young punks. Use your knowledge to your advantage.

  • you do need it if you leave one or two strings open, don't you?

  • omg no way this is so awesome, I didn't know how to put a trigger capo on my guitar, thank you so much for teaching me how to squeeze it and put it on there. I'm being sarcastic incase you haven't noticed. By the way Mr. "pro" you don't "center" a capo, it needs to be closer to the fret in which you have it capoed on.

  • haha

  • thanx , Umm..i bought 1 off ebay and..it doesnt look like that - ??

  • THen get another one.

  • whyy :S it stil works

  • DAM IT GIVE THIS MAN A MEDAL!!!

  • very helpfull, thanx
