@biggmonk you can mix your instrumental tracks but make sure you record all of it together dont record with the stereo mix down file have all your parts of the song bounced out then loaded in seperate tracks in your daw then record this is important for getting vocals to sit in the mix rather than sit on a mix you dont know if vocals will sit before you mix a beat so dont go to far on mixing the beat till all vocals are on the song then mix and have fun
see once again this songs vocals sound like they sitting on top of the mix rather in the mix if you have a beat with its stems you would not have this problem and you need to compress some of them vocals cause some jump out very loudly or do some fader automation on the vocals then compress it like most pros would doi dont think you should teach these things til you get those basics down unless you did not mix this yet in that case if you did not ill shut up lol
It can be so many reasons. Maybe if I heard one of you tracks I could be more specific. Could be you r mic, cables can add noise if its not good, you mic pre amp too, could be how loud you are recording your computer. Could be you sound card. If you are Eq or compression your vocals you could be doing it wrong or too much. Could be you are not mixing you vocals right with the beat. It could be that the instrumental you are using is mastered and you are not giving you vocals a fighting chance
normally I make the beat. Put a simple mix on it. Record the vocals. Then mix and add stuff depending on what the artist said. My goal is to make the beats fit the artist. It this song. This is the stage where its a simple mix. After we recorded it. I didn't mix it and add stuff. I left it the way it was just because I liked it and it wasn't going on a album so it wasn't a big deal. So to answer. I do a simple mix - record vocals - then do full mix to fit the artist.
thanks. U said the main is too loud. Maybe. This is a old track but, I think its a matter of an opinion. You say I should had string or piano. Again a matter of opinion. A lot of producers think they have to add a lot of stuff to a beat to make a hot song. NOPE. Some of the biggest hits of all time. Didn't have a bunch of stuff going on in the beat. Matter of fact they were very simple. I feel what you are saying because it is simple but, I try to make songs not just beats.
it would be good it the sond didnt suck ass...

How do you make the voice sound like a real song?
is it the type of mic, mic settings, or do u add effects to the vocals?
wen i record my voice and put it on a instrumental it sounds real cheap production

its a condenser mic. Its not a expensive mic at all. If you need one send me a message I can get you a good one at a low price.

Good job Bro only problem is the main Synth is too loud and if you add more melody sound better like string or a piano

i m very new here.... just wanna know.... the harmorny sound that in ur song... is u record it twice.. or using effect to edit it..?
leoyerng 2 years ago
@leoyerng if you are talking bout the vocals. I record 2 or 3 times. The synths sound is just a chord I created on a midi keyboard.
