@infokemp My great grandfather, who served in the Wehrmarcht said the British had crap for weapons, and they were not worth taking off their dead bodies. My great grandfather said the BAR was an excellent weapon as was the M-1 Garnand. My great grandfather was scared of air planes for years after the war....they got strafed routinely.

@BoyJewish Well your grandfather my friend is talking shit. The m1 granand was rubbish when it was time to load it pinned so german+japs used to wait for the pin to brake cover. And the ss commando used british sten guns wich were silnced soo they were much better than yankee guns. No offence.

@xEcGAirborne Because we had a budget of University students...doesn't exactly get you very far. This wasn't shot for historical accuracy (although we did try with the limited resources) but for the love of this genre of films. We did what we could with the shoe-string budget we had. Pretty much everything apart form the pyrotechnics were freebies, generously provided as favours and for the enjoyment of film-making.

@CookiesAndGuns95 Thanks! We had trouble getting them from any costume hire places, pretty much nowhere has them! But we struck lucky by finding ourselves a website about German WWII re-enactors. We managed to get in contact with one of them and persuade him to come up for a day with two of his mates. They were absolutely incredible, not only having tons of their own gear, but they could also essentially direct themselves as re-enacting battles is their hobby! A pleasure to work with!!
