I will own you all in TFC, CS, CSS, and TF2. TFC is the best FPS ever made, PERIOD. On honorable mention list, BF 1942 desert combat mod, Joint Operations, and Goldeneye 64. I have just bought TFC and i think it is amazing. I've made a few TF2 videos, but for some reason i cannot record off of TFC. It worked fine on everything else, except Half life. I think it has something to do with the time it was made in. I could be wrong though. If anyone could send me a response if they have any ideas on how to fix it.

It's funny, while all my friends in my condo was playing C.S I was like the only one playing TFC online haha. I remember there was CS, TFC, DMC and Ricochet for HL mods and that's how i discovered TFC, thanks valve for this incredible game !

ps: I don't think is fair to compare CS and TFC, there are some diferences like for example, CS is a game of tactical operation, and things must be done so careful.

Jeez, those Counter-Strike: Source models looked so bad when the game first came out. Anyway, I've played both games but no matter your stance on them, you have to admit TFC was quite a rush. I played it for about ten years before I quit. I remember pwning all those noobs as an offensive medic and soldier. I'll never be as good at any game like I was with TFC.

TFC was in fact not a mod. The original TF started as a quake mod. Valve saw what they had done and hired them to work on an expansion for HL. So not a Half Life mod.

Quit raging on TFC. Of course the graphics arent as good as anyone hoped; this was released in 1999, and the development team had what, 3 or 4 people? And the way you show Counterstrike, it just makes it seem like the game is shittier than TFC, but with 18% better graphics. TFC looks like more fun than Counterstrike anyday.

I could never really get into Counter-Strike, I just didn't see what the big deal was.

I've never played Team Fortress Classic or QWTF, but I can see why people enjoyed it so much.

I tend to play TF2 fairly often, and not for the hats either.

Because if you play on the same server, you make friends there and enjoy playing together as a team. Hats add a sense of individuality to each player, however some players would rather toy with hats than play the game.

Which is TF2's main issue, really.

My 3 complains about this game is that people use medic for flag capturing instead of healing (although healing is very impractical). And then there's bonny-hopping, which can be annoying on servers without bhop cap. Lastly, weapons are badly organised per class (spies with shotguns, 2 types of shotguns, etc). Other than that, the game is awesome, and I imagine people would play it more if tf2 didn't happen.

For those coming from TFC, many have found solace in a half life 2 mod called Fortress Forever, which some of you may have heard of. Which is the real TFC2, it has the graphical improvements of HL2, a development team still improving the game, all of the same classes, grenades, and faster gameplay. TF2 changed too much to satisfy many TFC fans, and FF, is a game made for those people, a free game, with a solid community, and great gameplay. I highly recommend people to get this mod. Google it.

I always wanted to buy this game, but was afraid that most matches would be me running into some gamers with no lives who exploit every loop-hole in the gameplay. Don't get me wrong, a lot of online games have that aspect to them, and I've avoided most of those games. I bought the game at Christmas (I was on an old game spree), and as much as the remaining people playing the game are experts it doesn't take away from a lot of the fun aspects. Sure you may die a lot, and you may suck compared to other players, but I've had a blast playing this with other pubbers. The only issue that the game has is the lack of servers and players, but that's an unavoidable truth.
