The turbo unit will produce a certain amout of pressure depending on a few diffrent variables, elevation above sea level, size of the engine, exhaust gas velocity, and tempiture of the ambiant air. Your engine is tuned to for a exact amount of pressure/boost. The waistgate is contolled by the boost controler and opens and closes to regulate the boost pressure.

The last thing that would melt on that turbo system is the wastegate. The engine was barely able to spool it up, much less overheat the any part of the turbo. That turbo is completely capable of flowing more exhaust than that engine can produce. It is not the wastegate.

People look at the turbo tables on the website. If you had two cars one with a 60trim 81 ar, then another with a smaller trim turbo and smaller AR ex:65, the smaller one will woop azz on low end. The larger one will smoke the vehicle on mid to top end. Then other variables come into play!!! Ballbearing, 3 inch exhaust, playing with the electronic boost controller etc....etc.....timing, you best know your stuff before posting and making a fool of yourself.
yes I agree. SIngle turbo are always better than twin turbo on an inline 6 configuration. The only time I go twin turbo is when the engine is a V configure. like the VG30DETT and the 3000gt VR4.
A three turbo setup works much better, I run two into one on a Bonneville salt flat truck with a 500 ci diesel a 3 charger setup will last for a longer period of time because they are not working so hard. I get 105#'s of boost for a long period of time. this turbo will not ....but it is very cool !

not a mk4 but i had a turbo mk3 and my brother has an rb25 being put in his 240 and i have quite a few friends with mk3 supras so im pretty damn sure i know what im talking about ive yet to see a waste gate on the intake side of any of these cars maybe you should try to google the answer though

the wastegate controlls the turbo its always mounted on the exhaust side the blow of valve is what would be located on the intake side to let of too much pressure you moron

not a mk4 but i had a turbo mk3 and my brother has an rb25 being put in his 240 and i have quite a few friends with mk3 supras so im pretty damn sure i know what im talking about ive yet to see a waste gate on the intake side of any of these cars maybe you should try to google the answer though

get a custom hood. something similar to what a sti has but offset. i have a big rig turbo in my civic. 560 hp. my paint job looks like it's a bucket tho so people are shocked wen i smoke the shit out of them. evos ferraris porshes lambos cobras you name it.
