i agree, not at all impossible. especially if something else goes wrong. it's hard to know how dangerous the situation is. and the worse it looks, the worse enlistments are going to be, no matter how much money the military is willing to pay. maybe we'll go to private contracters? i don't think anyone wants a bloodbath in baghdad, but that is what looks imminent, extended urban warfare, no way out it would appear . . .

I don't think any intelligent person outside of "Persia" LIKED Saddam, but he could've been captured/dispatched a lot more cleanly in the FIRST Gulf War, what with the SAS etc... But of course, the USA and Britain provided training for the homegrown militia (not to mention Osama!), and actually worked to certain totalitarian leaders in power to fulfill their own hunger for resources.

The burning question: How did he see the first plane hit the tower? It wasn't live on TV. The rest of us didn't see that footage until hours later. Either he saw it on a private Secret Service link or he was doing something at the time that he doesn't want us to know about. Either way, he's a liar. Think about it.
