  • mine is the newer jaguar classic but mine has the logo for bali-song with a butterfly instead of a jaguar

  • @MrCrazyasian777 thats a BM329 not a jaguar, a jaguar is the copy of that knife

  • do you know of any decent, lower price balisongs that have pocket clips

  • wait so are you saying if you want a cheap knife you recommend this one

  • i'm pretty sure they don't sell those scales to weigh knives lol

  • @TheDPG10007 yes but it works on objects/tools in that small weight

  • @mrvenom1231 lol, not what i had in mind

  • @TheDPG10007 ah ok

  • What are the gold and sikber ones in the box?

  • hey jeff when ever you see this, what do you think of the "new" bear and sons 'bear song'?

  • ya, DONT buy cheap balisongs, i bought a $10 one at a flea market, i thought the handles were made of pot metal...when they snapped in half, i realized that they were made of FUCKING PLASTIC!

  • were did u get that bag?

  • (cont from last Comment) Company's are able to sell actual daggers

  • What I don't get when balisong are illegal in Texas because they "turn in to daggers" theyre illegal but LIGITIMENT

  • Yeah, don't get a cheap Balisong knife. My brother did and I didn't know it was cheap. I tried flipping it a couple times and one of the handles broke in half and the blade flew at my face...

  • 3:38 CCC: "Cheap, Cheap Cnife"

  • @Shotblur do you know how to spell knife?

  • i wish you would show us more of how the knife works, rather than comparing them to others.

  • hey what's that white residue on your scale?

  • The first was made in Taiwan. The second is a knock-off, made in China. Jaguar (aka Master Cutlery) commissioned the knock-off, so technically it's not a counterfeit. For a few years, Master sold both, as Jaguar and Jaguar Deluxe, probably until they ran out of Taiwanese. Master no longer carries any butterflies, as they're based in NJ and CA, where butterflies are illegal. Also, US Customs has declared war on importation of butterflies and Master products are of Asian origin.

  • are bear and son knives good?

  • @weetoddtv yep

  • I got mine in February of 2011. It was great for a month or two but it got worse and worse so I stopped for a few months. Now that I'm getting a Kimura I've picked it back up but the handles are literally tearing apart on the jaguar and it's shredding my fingers and hands. I would only recommend it if you're an absolute beginner and will upgrade in a few months. Great starter knife but that's it, like training wheels.

  • dont ask y lol

    weed smoker lol

  • mine broke in 2 months!! fun though

  • @DSMD1991 thats no problem .. the biggest problem is that im from switzerland .. -.-

  • @RaYAn185

    mee too

scheiss gsetz wett ebe au es butterfly!!

  • 18.18 grams = 6 ounces. Dude, what?

  • u shood buy balisongs on amazom cheap prices......... im gettin a butterfly knife trainer for only 8.15 not bad

  • @leaustin2000 lol dont expect it to last too long... but good deal non-the-less

  • isn't there a little difference on the jaguar, where when closed the space between the handles are bigger?

  • neh, my pins on my jaguar got loose, hammering them doesn't work too well either :(

  • @cutlerylover where do i go to buy this jaguar classic from, and which do you prefer the jaguar classic or benchmade model 42?

  • beautiful

  • Anybody who uses a scale knows you cant use it on a slant.

  • I bought one fo 30 bucks 6 years ago it is the sturdiest thing I have ever used It weights like 24 grams and it has pins instead of screws and the only thing that had broken is the tang pin which I replaced. Im saving up for the Benchmade and im so pumped to get it.

  • The jaguar classic, a fine knife. Up there with the greats!

  • WOWWW... 18.18 grams = 5.93 ounces?? last time i checked it was 28 grams = 1 ounce... might have a nice knives, but you need a better scale man.

  • thts the same scale weed dealers use lol.

  • I got a hold of one of these from my friend for 10$. It's a classic, and it's old as -insert old thing here-. There are nicks and dings everywhere (except the blade), the pins look hammered down (still loose), and the area that holds the blade is bent, so it flops around a bit.

  • THATS MY KNIFE where did u get yours

    well the jaguar classic is

  • Do you know if jaguars are still in production? All places I go don't have them in stock.

  • Comment removed

  • @sargcobra

Knives take a long time go get back in production. In the meantime you can look at some knives that mimic the Jaguar.

  • hey how mach was that knife 1

  • where did you buy the jaguar classic

  • @camacho265 check out bladeplay and search jaguar. the one he's reviewing in the plane old jaguar, not the jaguar deluxe.

  • My jaguar balisong is extremly loose by the pins. Does anyone know how to tighten them?

  • where can i buy higher quality balisongs

  • Where did u get that case thing with all your balisongs

  • I was in Spain last week (I am Dutch), and I bought my second balisong there (my 1st was a very crappy one) and he looks like the jaguar classic part serrated (that's why I bought him), here is a site where they sell them too: pastorcuchilleria(dot)com/ecomerce/ficha_producto(dot)asp?lang=en&id=795 .

  • where do you get a jaguar classic

  • the bronze colored one in the top of your case is the same one im using... and the same one i just broke a laptop key off with. :(

  • i have the one with the micarta handles, and I'm finally getting A BM51. how much does the BM51 weigh?

  • it's funny, this balisong broke for me about after week, and I got your most UNRECOMENDED balisong and I got that 3 monts and it's like new, lol. Just sayin'

  • i wish these things were legal in canada...

  • I don't know where you went to school man but 1 OZ is 28 grams, so how you went from 18.18 grams to 5.93 OZ is beyond me. I suggest you know what you are talking about before trying to teach anybody anything. That had to be the funniest thing I ever heard.

  • @cutfloor then u really cant heave a life

  • I have a benchmade balisong an got 2 say itz 1 bad muthafuker!!! Its lasted me 9yrs of heavy use...an still works like new...it has no pins...instead heavy screws that u can adjust with a key...made with all titanium...theres none like it....

  • "I have a gram scale here....Don't ask why"

Am I the only one who laughed at that?

  • if its heavy, its expensive..

'is the usual way it works'

    well, unless its a bm51

  • which would you recomend more jaguar clasic, jaguar with aluminum medel 42 stye handles, or a regal flipper?

  • I am buying a benchmade model 53 balisong. Is it good quality ,can you do a video on it.

  • 9:44 That's what she said.

    I had to do it.

  • lol. drug dealer scale

  • 1 of my balisongs wher $15 and its holding up great its the black magic balisong check it out and the pins in balisongs ar easily hammered down and i did it 2 my other knife and at first i thought i fucked up by making it 2 tight like u said but a little wd40 lube fixed it

  • how the hell does 18g turn into 5 ounces ......

    lol

maybe its just a canada thing :P , but if im not mistaken ... isnt an ounce like 24g ?

  • @corbenslater no i think a ounce is 28.5 grams

  • @jokeclanproductions oh .. aiight , whatever , my point was still proven lol

  • @corbenslater Americans, and Canadians have different weights measurement, If you are measuring silver, or gold 1 tray ounce is at least 32grams, but if its non precious metals you are measuring with a different unit, correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @BlackOfTheWest a metric ounce is 28g

  • bladeops.com Part serrated though

  • 240p?!

  • What's the name of the opening move at 1:57?

  • Where did you get the Jag Classic i want to buy one

  • so jaguar classic is your fav

  • if you want cheap balisong go to bladeplay

  • wow, lookin at this video i guess i got the plain edge version of an older one, you said you recommend it and sweet jesus i'm glad you did, i love it.

  • Well, I got an Mtech Twist for about 12$ from China and it's awesome! It's the only Cheap balisong I bought because it has a good reputation.

  • Sir, 28.3 Grams = 1 Ounce

  • Hey cutlerylover, can you make a video on good balisongs for $1-$50. I have one that I got from a friend but it is that good and I want a good one for less than $60. And then can you please put the names of the balisongs in the description and put a link to a site to purchase. PLEASE make a video!

  • i have a bear trainer with pins im not a big fan of pind i would say screws with screw lock on it

  • arent balisongs origounally made in china

  • @HaloStudios100 no, they were invented in France, but mainly used in the Philipines

  • @cutlerylover i thought balisongs were invented in the philipines

  • @cutlerylover My friend jeff, U R FUCKIN AWESOME!

  • @cutlerylover the term balisong is Philippines, they are also called Beuto Neuves Knives, because the traditional length is 29cm.

  • @cutlerylover how many people have you stabbed? :)

  • @cutlerylover yeah... they were originally called the Fan Knife then used in the Philippines and improvised thoroughly then came... the Balisong... Mwhahaha! :)) ... though here in the Philippines, Benchmade costs like Hell... man! ... Batangas balisongs are cool, though they use the traditional metals that usually rusts over time...

  • @cutlerylover thats why tf2 spy is french, now i get it.

  • @cutlerylover very true, did u know we originally used scrap metal from planes and boats that crashed or were junk. still.. they were made with awesome quality.

  • @cutlerylover so thats why the spy in tf2 is french

  • Comment removed

  • @cutlerylover thats why the spy uses it... =P

  • @cutlerylover Whoa... i thought it was originally made in the Philippines

  • @cutlerylover Cutlery ur right but they both came up with it at the same time so no one no:s

  • that weight is for weed i have the same shit

  • the one im getting from bladeplay is 7 oz.. xD at least thats what the site says

  • thats odd your scale says the jaguar is 5.93 0Z but at bladeplay it says 7.2 oz. same exact knife

  • @Garrito12 i think it is a different blade length, the one on blade play is 4.25

  • Bought a Benchmade back in '93, paid $80 for it. One of the pins broke. Benchmade would not repair it, calling it a "less expensive model". I will NEVER buy a Benchmade knife again. Bought a Jaguar classic afterwards and never had any problems.

  • I dislike pins in balisongs; I had one that had pins and the handles broke around the pins. Granted, the knife wasn't the best quality, but yeah.

  • I was looking at my balisong while atching this vid and i realized i must have the older model even though i bought it just a couple weeks ago. also, is there any other way to tighten the balisong other than hammering it?

  • wow my first balisong I EVER had I thought was a Benchmade, but apparently I had a jaguar handles with a Benchmade blade. I just found this out by watch this video.

  • you stabbed 16 people in the ass with those knives

  • The serration on the old one are deeper to.

  • Any idea where I can get those black insets? I cracked mine and need a replacement

  • can u do a tutorial on tightening it?

  • i was looking at these on bladeplay and out of all of them 1 of them had the old symbol you were talking about and the smaller pins but it was out of stock should i wait for it to be in tock or get the newer ones

  • @SunboXUK oh god, not you again.

  • i love your collection

  • I'm new to all this balisong thing, and I'm just trying to find a somewhat good knife that has a nice heavy feel to it and a little durable. But I want it to be somewhat cheap (which I know it's hard to ask for). I was looking at this Bear and sons 5" butterfly knife stainless steal handles with a 4" TI coated blade for around 55 dollars. Is this a good price? No matter what I thank you for reading all that. But I thank you more if you could help somehow.

  • @TheWalrus995 if the handles are single piece, maybe.

  • Comment removed

  • balisong balisong balisong balisong balisong balisong. that's all i hear when you talk jeff. not trying to be mean, just don't say it so much.

  • you should get a Rostfrei, it's one of the better cheap ones.

  • Do you know where i can find a Jaguar Classic Balisong?

  • @shadowgunz25 you might try the forums that jeff references. my reccomendation would be to look for a used one at a flea market or pawn before buying online. but thst's just if you're an economist.

  • you know, i went to a flea market today, and i bought a knife for $9.00. oddly enough, it had single piece, stainless steel handles, a sharp, stainless steel blade, and it has a decent weight. weird.

  • @masonroe157900000 note to self: tighten pins.

  • Jaguar is a great knife. nice and heavy. good balisong. good job cutlerylover

I have a question though. which is better a tank or jaguar?

  • U suck donkey boner

  • Hey i just ordered this knife from bladeops and it looks like it came used. It looks the same as this youtube.com/watch?v=a0q_rJoKhcQ Did yours come like that? He says hes seen one new and that it isnt normal. Also on the blade it says it is made out of "surgial steel." They forgot the "c." I just wanna know if mine is used or fake or something. Thanks.

  • @hectert2 The link didnt work right. I was talking about this review:

Jaguar Classic Balisong from Blade Play

    By: IIsGrimReaper

  • My favorite balisong that I own is the jaguar. I have had mine for 15 years and it still works fine. Had to tighten up the pins every few years but love it. The handles are heavy so throwing and spinning the knife with your pinky will not work but most tricks work great with it. Love it.

  • I just got the Jaguar Classic for Christmas from bladeops and i got the older one. It has the old logo and smaller pins. Neat!! I will say though after a few weeks of flipping it is becoming pretty loose. oh well.

  • DUDE I HAVE BEN A FAN FOR A LONG TIME SO I TOOK YOUR ADVICE ON THE JAGUER BALI I HAVE HAD IT FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND IT STILL IS IN 1 PIECE (best 20$ ive ever spent) thank u so so so so so much for the advice i am so sick of cheepos (cccs) falling apart in a week but this is way diffrent than a cheepo thank u jeff from:adam
