Grundy, "manic apprehension". Having recently toured local stores, I find a lot to disagree with in your post. Lotsa great stores, but I am proud of BNW. Yes, we have worked hard to make sure that kids and families are comfortable here, and occasionally our sense of humor gets in the way of our best intentions, but I hope at some point you find your way back to The World.

agreed, i bought comics there once and felt badgered to give money to one of their charities at checkout by the woman in this video, i also called once and asked for a Superman Graphic Novel and was treated with manic apprehension by this guy. his place is centered around kids not fanboys, not nearly as resourceful or archival as what you would find in Hollywood (trust me its worth the gas from Santa Clarita). I hope someone else can break ground on a comic store in the area.
