  • once again video ruined by music

  • time for FMiC and hard piping kit. headers. wide mouth 3in down pipe 550cc injectors secondary fuel return line wallbro fuel pump, stage 1 264 cams and 20psi of boost. and u will get 380 ish rwhp seen it done before. don't settle for barely breaking 290hp. GL!!

  • those are great numbers from only doing so little to the car plus a tune. Very impressive for a 2liter..

  • We all know hyundai is htting the car market with an iron fist but I need feedback on how good these 4 cylinders hold up?

  • I got the gen 2.0 T prem pkg. got 14K km on it and shes holding up like a champ, hyundai really does quality work these days just bought my 3rd new hyundai in 3 years,no complaints, very reliable, all 3 4bangers

  • @ChillMood11 Its a world engine design between chrysler, mistubishi, and hyundai. Though hyundai is building their own with some tweaks it should be good. Chrysler SRT4 engine made crazy power and last.. mistubishi makes crazy power and last. So Id imagine the hyundai should last.. but I do not know the power limit

  • @IXGQ4LifeXI Anything that the EVO X engine handle is what the 2.0T here will handle. Both engines are very similar next to different heads, camshafts, exhaust manifold, the bits and pieces here and there. IF you really want to know, the famous previous engines in the EVOs (4G63) was co-developed by Hyundai too. There's a really good reason why prior because Hyundai/Kia stepped up their game that there engines were reliable as hell.

  • @undeadkillers Oh just saying I dont know the power limits of the new ones whether is it the 4B11T, Theta, or GEMA (SRT4) .. I would imagine since my original version of SRT motor lasted 80K miles at 425wHP that the new ones should be able to too. With a good tune and meth helps for safety

  • @undeadkillers "EVOs (4G63) was co-developed by Hyundai too"

Could you provide some proof to this? In all the years I have been into Mitsubishi's I have never heard of this. To my knowledge the first 4G63 was used back in 1982/1 in the Lancer EX 2000 Turbo putting it into production many years before providing it to Hyundai

  • @wrert123 s2k makes 200-210whp .. this one had 250 and it has something the s2k doesn't .. it's called torque and that's what wins races

  • @davidpaulin it has torque because it has turbochager on stock condition while the S2K doesn't..

  • @NEWanjingkepala3 i know!

  • hi modreracing, what rims is that called? and what it's specs?

  • F the HP look at the Tq 291.2 GEES

  • @wrert123 yeah but an s2000 240hp is crank numbers that genesis is puts down a lot more power then a stock or evenbolted s2k

  • wow i never knew hyundai can be a sexy car.

  • no disrespect...but i would have just saved a lil more and got a 3.8

  • @xcruzrr6 the 2.0t cost much less to mod and make hp

  • @davidpaulin if you can the same hp or better with the 4k difference I can't argue with that

  • @xcruzrr6 witj 4k you can buy the beyond redline stage 3 with full intake exhaust and upgraded stock turbo + a tune .. you get like 300 whp and over 300wtq .. you can even achieve better numbers if you do it yourself

  • @wrert123 250 WHEEL horsepower. An S2000 dynos about ~ 200-210 rwhp due to drive train losses, which is roughly about 15 percent on most manual 2 wheel drive cars. My personal nissan may only dyno over 400 rwhp, but that would translate to almost 500 crank hp, due to the same drive train loss.

  • This is a lot like a SR20det with bolt ons 250 rwhp roughly on the stock turbo. Even the engine looks similar just a mirror image. Only time will tell if its a though as the sr is tho, so far pushing well over 400 rwhp in stock longblock, headgasket and all! I have no reason to believe why it wouldn't be however.

  • People like to talk shit about hyundais until you get smoked by one. LOL. Respect the car for the car, don't always look at the brand or you're going to miss gems like this one. There are great cars in every manufacturers line. You just gotta look.

  • @youtubasoarus Amen Amen!

  • what is the brand/model of those rims. theyre real nice.

  • Did you notice the obese american man looking into the car while it was being tested? Talk about a typical obese american man...he was looking for Big Macs to eat!

  • @wrert123

Wow, that's 250 to the wheels. You don't even know the stock baseline dyno. Even then, you can't compare apples to oranges. Not to mention, all dynos are different considering the sea level, octane rating, air temperature, tuning styles, humidity and dyno calibration. Finally factor all of that against other dynos in the country and see how different it is. So before you lay waste with your stupidity, use that brain of yours (I assume you have one) before making ignorant comments.

  • 2010 genesis for 27k or 04 bmw m3 for 21k uhh ill stick with my m3 that does 160 up hill u can keep ur 4 cylinder that does 120 in a vacum hahaha i still like it just needs a 100mm turbo to go fast

  • does anybody know how much hp i can add to this car before it damages or shortens the engine life? i just bought a 2010 2.0T and want to add some more hp to it.

  • @42OKing69 Basically what the Mitusibishi Evo can handle is what the 2.0T handle, but am not saying that it's exactly same block as the Evo.

  • @undeadkillers thanks for the tip

  • @42OKing69 every performance part will shorten engine life...so if u wanna mod your car don't worry about making it last long...though, as u gradually replace the stock parts with BETTER performance parts, you wont be sacrificing engine life much

  • @42OKing69

    cheap, fast, reliable. pick two.

  • I would like to get one of these, but have kids now. I have two Hyundai's and love them. Have greatly improved and keep getting stronger.

  • 40hp gain from intake and exhaust, hell ya

  • @9314Tommy you have the give hyundai credit... their first car aimed at the tuner crowd, their first turbo car, their first RWD car and its a hit u gotta be stupid to talk shit about it.

  • actually classed as a world motor used in the new evo 10s,rallyarts, and lancers

  • In all of my kia, hyundai factory training classes they refer to this engine as the world motor. Was developed inpart by hyundai/kia/mitsu/chrysler. . i have worked on quite a few of these 2.0l engines they are put in the kia forte base model only the sx is the 2.4 version. they seem like very good engines hardley any noise even over 100k.

  • fucking digin the red painjob + carbon fiber look

  • I'm a total Honda fanboy, but you'd have to be blind, def, and dumb not to respect what Hyundai has done with the Genesis Coup. For 23K you can get an R-spec model (2.0t) that's just begging to be tuned beyond belief. Some RPF1's, a dyno tune, and it's off to the track with money to spare.

  • @sfcx92 haha I can say the exact same thing! Started off with honda, but the R-Spec is a really nice place to start with this car. Not to mention it's RWD, and you got an option of a 6cyl or a 4cyl with turbo.

  • @9314Tommy i think korea doesn't want to 'be' japanese. i think korea wants to take half the market from japan. which is....happening as i type this comment. so yea.. go korea

  • love the way you guys setup your car it looks fucking badass, but what im wondering can we trust the hyundai motor and tranny are they any good? or are they using someone elses motor? just wondering.

  • @daaracer

they uses engine that was developed by hyundai, Mitsy, Dodge and is shared by them all

  • @andbudzi Same bottom end as Mitsu EVO X

  • how much horse power this master

  • just wondering does anyone know whos motor and transmision they use for this car or is hyundai using their on motor and tranny?

  • @daaracer I think it's the same as the SRT-4 as is the new Kia Forte Koup, minus the turbo.

  • @daaracer Its a factory hyundai engine. dude the theta motor is bomb proof .hyundai/ kia has used them in there genisis/forte 2.0 cars for a while. seriously its a nicley engineered engine, even down to the intake ports on the head there huge. worked on hyundais and kias for 6 years now by far this engine or the 2.4l version is the best engine they have made.

  • Enkei NT+03 = do want

  • my roommate has one of these cars, and they are pretty sweet stock. but i need to know some engine specs. i know its a 2.0L (86mm bore and stroke), with a Mitsubishi TD04 turbocharger. How much turbo pressure can the stock internals take (assuming that i'm not a ricer that has installed a stupid BOV, which requires me to remove the MAF sensor)

  • your and idiot

  • my comment was on the V6 with 305 HP engine not at the rear wheels, and that 's most stupid or stupidest ,not most stupidest.

  • @mbsnyderc you can always say dumbest

  • Hey, is that BigTom?

  • I must own this car in the 2 liter turbo form. that damn car can be so fuckin fast! Love the vid and the car by the way!

  • one question. why not just get the V6 that comes with 306hp stock?

  • @cfdp529 The reason is that a turbocharged car is easier to tune without having to spend alot of money. Convert a non-turbo engine to a turbo engine isn't really something that most people will do. And the 2.0T is much lighter in the front which means better handling.

  • @ostenn Hmmmmm. Nicely done. Thanks for not being a dick about it. Some people would have been. Much appreciated.

  • that's not at the rear wheels it would only be about 270hp.the mod on this car aren't that much they could get a lot more out of it.i have seen video of one with 385HP.

  • ooooh muy bueno le sakaron kasi lo mismo ke trae el genesis v6 en HP al 2.0 turbo

    buen trabajo

  • Wow, now all it needs is a 2jz thrown into it

  • why not just have gotten the V6 version with how much money you put in :P

  • @CoolbreezeX82X Well, its the 2.0T is cheaper.. so thats a big part of it.

Also, the 2.0T is lighter due to smaller engine size. Weight is a big factor when it comes to a time attack car.

But yeah, more displacement makes more power, no doubt about that.

  • @linkdarkshadow ah didnt know time attack car :)

  • holy sheit! that said 291 ft-lbs.

  • Be that as it may, its a moot point.

  • All that for 250? What a joke!

  • @sledhead7969 well its a pretty big improvement from 210hp. noob, dont even know anything about cars and how much power an extra 40hp is

  • @ASaadProduction And your a fucking scholar if you think 40 hp is. Don't get me wrong, it better than 30, but it's not going to set the road on fire! You must be a 'noob' if you think 40 hp is substantial in a car that weighs almost 3300 lbs. And you call me the noob? You're fucked! Do you even have a driver's licence? Or do you just jerk off to the cars you hope your parents will one day buy you?

  • @sledhead7969 Just wanted to point out that it is NOT a 40hp gain. It's more like a 70hp gain since this is 250hp AT THE WHEELS. The 210hp number of the stock car is AT THE CRANK.

  • @sledhead7969 Its actually not that bad of an addition to power they got with just a turbo back exhuast, intake, and a tune. Maybe the tune wasnt a tune for peak power I with it showed more of the dyno graph maybe there were higher gains in other parts of the power band. I doubt if it was the V6 they would have got anywhere near that much of a gain just from those parts.

  • @angryGTS oops missed it the first time I watched but the gains in the entire power band looks good. You have to look at more than just peak gains.

  • The turbo 4cyl engines that Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and dodge use are made by the same manufacturer. Each car company just adds their own tweek to it. For dodge, they opted for a 2.4l over the 2.0l Mitsubishi and Hyundai use. They are not the same exact engine, just made by the same people to the car manufacturers specs.

  • the genesis's 4b11 is similar to the mitsubishis but not the same my car magazine says the mits. is more tolerable to high boost than the geneses 19psi max on the geneses up to 30psi on the mitsubishi similar but not the same

  • how much ?

  • Holy crap i didn't notice i said V4, i meant to say I4.

  • whats' a "V4"

  • Both engines are very tune-able, the V4 offers lighter front weight plus it uses it a quite well known mitsubishi engine.

  • @undeadkillers you sounded like you knew something right up until you said V4. now i suspect you might be an idiot. its an inline 4.

  • you need to do some more research before you open your mouth. The engine is NOT a 4b11

  • its not a 4b11t but its a 4b11t/ theta ll its the cousin to the mitsu.

  • some one told me it was the same block, is that true?

  • id rather buy this than any other coupe on the market

  • That's a huge jump in power for such little overhead into the project.

  • Only cars that can compete with Hyundai/Kia is Porsche, from 2010 models , on mid lx level , Fk BMW, on reliability

Japan's outdated Tech' can not even come close to super modern manufacturing facilities of Hyundai, entire complex is a giant computer circuit , level of quality control is unprecedented, materials & metallic durability surpass any other contenders..

Ps, To fart a bit of drag race point,, brawn idiots throw away practical economy , 2~3 years ago is ancient to K-cars

  • yeah but the engine in this car is built by Mitsubishi which is japanese...

  • That is not true. Please try to search interent before you actually post something

  • The new genesis turbo comes with the 4b11...Who makes the 4b11???...Mitsubishi

  • That's nearly as good as a stock SRT-4 Neon.

  • id rather drive that too than a hyundai

  • @al2683 yes but in this case, the Genesis is not a Neon XD

  • yes, but it is a just a hyundai.

  • except the correct wheels are turning this time.

  • not sure why everybody is pushing japan cuz hyundai is Korean... hmm and whoever said the porsche comment is.. a dumbfvck. get on your bicycle and ride home to mommy.

  • Only time I've ever been impressed with the Genesis is when I saw Rhys Millen's but all thats left of the car is pretty much the shell everything else is replaced. Car looks good but lacks performance I think. Don't know why anybody would say it's the only company to compete with Porshe

  • It is with the track model that you can compare, and the genesis has way better tuning capabilities.

  • Tell me one thing that Hyundai has brought to the automotive world seriously?!?!?! (Besides from there elaborate new facility, Which i mind you will look old also ounce manufactures build there new facilities.) To compare to Porsche is a joke a car company that has actually contributed to the advancement of cars and there technology. And by the way Porsche's are unreliable and need constant up keep to keep on the road.

  • The Genesis is the new face of econimical sports cars I guess.. Since it jumped into my top 10 favourite car list.. Its still not at the top. HAHA.

Still its a nice car and I think I will get it when I'm of age..

  • The car looks bad ass but the power is not matching up at all...only 250???? hmmm maybe alil more work on it get in in the 300 at least

  • @Jesusfe88

this is 250hp to the wheels + 15% dt loss = around 287.5.

That's very good for the car with stock turbo and only a turbo-backed exhaust, intake, and tune.

  • @pimpscion

Im sorry I didnt read the thing just watched it. I didnt see it was a stock set up, not bad man.

  • Only cars that can compete with Hyundai/Kia is Porche, from 2010 models , on mid lx level , Fk BMW, on reliability

Japan's outdated Tech' can not even come close to super modern manufacturing facilities of Hyundai, entire complex is a giant computer circuit , level of quality control is unprecedented, materials & metallic durability surpass any other contenders..

Ps, To impress a bit more with stupid drag race point,, brawn idiots throw away practical sensible fuel economy

  • @waszuemaem Really ok Hyundai fan boy,. the only cars that can compete is Porsche are you serious?!!!?!? Yeah Hyundai cars have come along way in the past 10 years but they are no where near Porsche. Ride quality sucks steering is numb at best even in the Genesis. Your engines lack power comparied to your displacement,..Hyundai is still years behind

  • I used to think this car was crap, until i saw it in person. It has much higher quality than most cars out today. I'm very impressed, they have come a long way and they're movin quick!

  • @xlee888 I have to agree

  • @rjallenbach cause u cant afford a good car like this

  • @rjallenbach

    lol faggot

    off road

    exhaust tip

    kill yourself.

  • who the fuck races off road with a sports car?

  • @golden290 men

  • @aznrevlazn of course... what was a thinking, could i have that man card back now?

  • @golden no

  • @aznrevlazn go to sleep, *stolen*

  • drive japanes cars. good quality cars. hahahahahah

  • MAN HYUNDAI HAS COME ALONG WAYY YEO !

  • Don't be a bad boy because imma bang YO MAMMA!!

  • @StanleyV6 yes I know you're having fun, it's called TROLLING, it's WHAT I DO lol.

ROFL, yea I'm sure you drove a BPU 350Z, funny thing is that could mean ANYTHING, most BPU 350Z's are running bolt-ons and still won't touch me. Any BPU they'd let YOU drive, you with your only stock honda experience is going to be those, not the turbo builds they've done lol. Sorry kid get over it

and no, it's mine, COME FIND OUT lol.

Yea, I am a dick, too bad I'm still the one with the faster car poor lad.

  • it appears like you forgot to put several things in all caps.."stock honda, turbo builds, and sorry kid" to be a complete douche you really need to fix that. and no one can understand you when theres not words emphasized WITH ALL CAPS . dont you know this?

  • Killer numbers for those mods. Where can I get this tune?! =D

  • wooow nice torque numbers

  • Those are great numbers from stock with few simple mods. Very nice. May consider this car in the future when i have more money.

  • Heyyyy! TOYOTAAA!, WHERE THE HECK IS THE NEW SUPRA OR CELICA????

  • @samuraifugitivo The same place as this car, the trash, because they realize people want an epic car, but everyone is goign to hate them when the populus realizes supras were expensive when they were new, and would be today. And celicas are shit lol.

A "new" supra will cost way more than anything in its market right now, and only fan boys want it.

  • i dont think so, lexus already has some serious stuff so its matter of downgrading some "luxory" equipment and sell it under the toyota brand.

  • @samuraifugitivo

There will be no new "supra", and if there was going to be a new car that came with F/I and a forged bottom end it would cost over 45K$ MSRP Base.

  • turd kid aint got no pussy

  • What's that?

Oh right, you're mad because you drive a stock POS honda, and that I'm faster than anything you've ever been in.

  • :D You know I'm having fun writing to a dick like you right?:D I didnt see and idiot like you a long time... :) I dont have a Honda. Oh really? Everything I've ever been in? Even a BPU 350Z i wanted to buy and drove would smack you... you aint got shit, even if you did...probably your dads or something, you still making yourself look like a dick, and you are one, nice... NICE :D

  • I mean, I'm pretty much curious why are you pissing people off DAILY dude... shits annoying. Is that your job or do you have mental problems bro?

  • I think people do forget how much a supra costs. It is a different class car. Supras are great but do come at a greater price. A new car with no miles vs buying a supra for more with many miles but better performance. I would take the genesis cuz it would be less headache being new.

  • Lexus LFA.... Check it out

  • Was this coupe tuned by powerAxel? i think i see their tunning engineer on the passanger seat.

  • Thank you very much for the compliment. To each their own. I personally enjoy having RWD over a FWD Honda.

  • @ civicboost97:

You did read this car is for timeattack/autocross right? And the V6 is heavier with more weight biased to the front making it not as balanced as the I4, right?

We'll be sure to go purchase a RWD Honda 2 door coupe. Oh snap! They don't make one.

  • @koreandude81

eh yes they do S2000.... not quite a coupe but still a 2 door RWD car

  • @IMAuthenticFTW: Sorry but a COUPE and a CONVERTIBLE are not the same. The S2000 is directly in line with a Miata, Sky, Solstice, Z4, Z3, etc.

If I want a Honda 2 door COUPE, the Accord and Civic Coupe is all they have to offer and BOTH are FWD.

SO Honda does NOT offer a RWD 2 door COUPE. And a "hardtop" doctored up S2K doesn't count either. -____^

  • you sir are correct... but i still love my s

  • maybe we can still pretend my S is a coupe.. when its dressed up... =D

but its still a cool roadster

  • they would've got some more hp with FMIC with better couplings.

  • We have since completely replaced the fmic.

  • nice... looks like they got Intake exhaust and tune ...nice gains without braking a bank.

4B11T is a variant of this engine...they been collaborating with mitsu since 90s.

The basic block was designed by Hyundai - but each manufacturer has designed/tailored the block to their own specs.

  • very nice

  • sexy shit right there

  • Wonder what kind of fuel they're running. Those numbers AREN'T typical of this particular drivetrain with those kinds of mods.

BTW, this 2.0l 16v I4 is NOT, I REPEAT NOT a 4B11T. 4B11's use a mitsu designed head as well as a different bottem end (pistons, rods). Only the block is similar.

This motor is a variant of the Hyundai Theta (G4KC) Engine.

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • post a vid of what ur car sounds like. kthnxby

  • what ass? your ass? Shame on you! LOL!!

  • Hyundai needs to make the v6 a 3.8 turbo as well and quit BSing around.

  • Dont worry thats why u can buy bolt on parts lol

  • Comment removed

  • it would probably have to be TT to be more efficient..

  • agreed

  • I hate lazy people who buy ill ass cars in automatic learn to drive stick you pussies. Other than the tranny the car is sick

  • 4B11 motor.. badass

  • Comment removed

  • Those are really good numbers for just basic bolt ons.

The thing has close to 300 ft-lbs of torque, that is a lot, and 250 hp at the rear wheels; impressive; good job Hyundai!

  • Beautiful car, really looks nice, good job MODERacing. I think I will pick one up myself for a track toy..

  • fuck dude... read the fucking title

  • inline 4...

  • people have no idea about this car

  • I know they are slow as hell....

  • Sure, because your crappy Supra came from factory with those 700 HP without needing you to put around $10k in parts and shit, right?.

  • 250hp and 291tq with just intake and exhaust and a tune? man i want this car one day, so much potential on it.

  • SLEEK SEXY RIDE
