i agree on teh styling part. im not too keen on the body of it. but the interior i could drool around/over. that aside, i wonder is this car a straightline car, or would it do good/great in the twisties?, and to the others, who say you cannot afford this car or that car. do you know these people? how would you know what they can, or cannot afford. actually, the veyron minus its weight is very slow. its engine, w16 plus 4 turboes weighs 500kg. plus ten radiators, another 250kg. plus the AWD, launch control which enhances 0-60, 0-100, another 400kg.....
you can possibly tune the engine, but at most you can only shave 100kgs off the luxury. They did it on the veyron SS and it still weighs 1940kg.
what i meant was that the only reason why the bug goes so fast is because its so heavy. 10 rads, 8000 cc w16, 4 turboes, 1000hp. the aero had 1200hp, but i bet that wont last 5 years.
and they put AWD, LC, TC...... all aids in grip and launch.
If it didnt have those it'll proly be as light as a SSC aero. But then, it wouldnt have 1000hp and be as fast either.
so the only excess weight to strip off is only ~200kgs, luxury and all. a stripped veyron wont go much faster.
ya. the diff between a lux veryon and a stripped veyron is like the SS vs the non SS. the 0-60 is same, 0-100 1s faster, and 0-200 3s faster.They've only managed to remove less than 200kgs to make the SS, and i think if they can remove more, why not?

@ASSHOLELA they can but then it is not a daily driver car. Veyron at high speeds is the most stable car ever produced. You get the feeling as if you are going at 100 something while you being at 300+kph. All that is because of this weight, strip it off and you'll have the feeling of touching the limit at those speeds. Off-course the down force has a big part to play but then again, weight is a bigger factor in this smoothness and stability.
@ASSHOLELA ah forgot...the veyrons engine is able to handle more than 2000hp without breaking for YEARS!!! but in germany there is the TÜV and more than (about, not sure) 1300hp is not allowed
@MathiasBuffalo Actually the point is, even heavily tuned cars or no match for a bugatti veyron, its not all about power. You need to put that power on the ground and in a practical way which is usable anytime. Veyron does it, all other dont because at the end of the day apart from engine you need a good tranmission to handle that power. As stated Mercedes Brabus had enough power but its tranmission can't handle it properly, result wheel spin at higher speeds and total waste of that power.
with the other key in that allows it to hit its full speed it goes 407 kph thats 252.9 mph. It doesn't need more horsepower, to be truthfull anything over 600 bhp (real horsepower not flywheel bs) is a handfull.
It depends what your going for really. If I'm doing 240mph(i wish), I'd rather not have a high strung engine squeezing out the max hp per liter/lb of boost. Sure, it could have twice the horsepower considering how large the engine is and the number of turbos, however I'd go for reliability and least amount of stress and wear when traveling at those speeds.
But the Veyron looks elegant, while the Ultimate Aero looks like it was only build for doing high speeds. Also the interior is way better. So why take a car doing 414km/h instead of a nice, elegant Veyron who 'only' does 407 km/h which u will never be able to reach? And BTW, u can't afford any of those two. ;)
the Ultimate Aero is just a fast car, its not luxurious, its not filled with leather, aircon, wood grain and metal everywhere. Yea it might be faster by a bees dick but its so much lighter and imo almost cheating. The aero was never the worlds fastest car to me because its not the ultimate package at the same time

actually, the veyron minus its weight is very slow. its engine, w16 plus 4 turboes weighs 500kg. plus ten radiators, another 250kg. plus the AWD, launch control which enhances 0-60, 0-100, another 400kg.....
you can possibly tune the engine, but at most you can only shave 100kgs off the luxury. They did it on the veyron SS and it still weighs 1940kg.

what i meant was that the only reason why the bug goes so fast is because its so heavy. 10 rads, 8000 cc w16, 4 turboes, 1000hp. the aero had 1200hp, but i bet that wont last 5 years.
and they put AWD, LC, TC...... all aids in grip and launch.
If it didnt have those it'll proly be as light as a SSC aero. But then, it wouldnt have 1000hp and be as fast either.
so the only excess weight to strip off is only ~200kgs, luxury and all. a stripped veyron wont go much faster.

ya. the diff between a lux veryon and a stripped veyron is like the SS vs the non SS. the 0-60 is same, 0-100 1s faster, and 0-200 3s faster.They've only managed to remove less than 200kgs to make the SS, and i think if they can remove more, why not?
a lot of people say that the veyron can be stripped until it weighs like a mclaren f1 or koenigsegg, and go twice as fast. obviously they're wrong.

@ASSHOLELA they can but then it is not a daily driver car. Veyron at high speeds is the most stable car ever produced. You get the feeling as if you are going at 100 something while you being at 300+kph. All that is because of this weight, strip it off and you'll have the feeling of touching the limit at those speeds. Off-course the down force has a big part to play but then again, weight is a bigger factor in this smoothness and stability.

@MathiasBuffalo Actually the point is, even heavily tuned cars or no match for a bugatti veyron, its not all about power. You need to put that power on the ground and in a practical way which is usable anytime. Veyron does it, all other dont because at the end of the day apart from engine you need a good tranmission to handle that power. As stated Mercedes Brabus had enough power but its tranmission can't handle it properly, result wheel spin at higher speeds and total waste of that power.

It depends what your going for really. If I'm doing 240mph(i wish), I'd rather not have a high strung engine squeezing out the max hp per liter/lb of boost. Sure, it could have twice the horsepower considering how large the engine is and the number of turbos, however I'd go for reliability and least amount of stress and wear when traveling at those speeds.

But the Veyron looks elegant, while the Ultimate Aero looks like it was only build for doing high speeds. Also the interior is way better. So why take a car doing 414km/h instead of a nice, elegant Veyron who 'only' does 407 km/h which u will never be able to reach? And BTW, u can't afford any of those two. ;)

the Ultimate Aero is just a fast car, its not luxurious, its not filled with leather, aircon, wood grain and metal everywhere.
